Things are actually begining to work they ay they should. PvP is MUCH more fun now that a few kewl dudes can't sit in one spot and vaporize passers by with three shots.
People have to pick ammo/weapons to fit their style of combat. Gone are the days of everyone just picking what hits the hardest.
Tactics are now the name of the game. Electronics warefare has come into it's time. Caldari ships are now worth something with their range bonus.
The list goes on and on.... but the two biggest reasons I love this last patch. All the Pirate PKers that are too dumb to figure things out and employ real tactics will probably quit and.. I developed my skills based on the way the game was designed to be played and now I find myself much more effective.
Keep up the great work! Wasn't me! |

Aye Lass,
Haven't noticed not a problem. My personal collection fund, er...for the orphans, is coming along quite nicely thanks to the generosity of frontier traders what donates.
Its sure the long range massive damage isn't what it used to be. But then again it just means I had to dust off the ol webifier and scrambler to stop merchants before rob...er collecting fer da orphans ya know.
It may be differnt, but I'm not so ready to call it bad yet. In fact i may say its a tad more realistic like. Good ol pirates Like Calico Jack himself din pirate in no battleship man-o-wars. Frigates maybe or a big cargo galleon or indiamen with guns and cargo space. For men o darin and superior intellect like Black Beard, Calico Jack and Captain kidd its never been about huge amount o fire power.
If this Lord Zap feller tinks he be needing a battleship bristlin with cannons to be a pirate then I tink dat land lubber should retire to a space station wer e belongs!
Good ridence he given a bad name to real pirates.
Calico Jack lovz da new changes too!

Aye I love the patch. :) My guys are really good with EW and coordination and tactics, and never relied on the overpowered weapons upgrades / surgical strike bug in the first place (had the modules, but figured it was a bad habit, so we played with other stuff) and now we're completely kicking ass. :) ___________________________________________

Nice patch, just 80% of the game does not work, players loosing slots (i lost my research slots still), players lost tens and hundreds of research time... I saw few "new" bugs from earlier betta. Bugs where ReImplemented (probably for sure), now everybody can enjoy this old RARE bugs.

I like this new patch very much. The AI pirates are thougher and now I actually require some sort of game plan and the proper equipment to statisfy the game plan. I notice I'm doing more things and interacting more when combating pirates to stay alive and healthy. I have to make some decisions while in battle which is a good thing :)
The ones who are unhappy with this patch are the ones who over power their opponents with their bugged exploited modules. It seems these people don't have the stomach for real combat, where your opponent goes toe to toe with you and there's millions worth of hardware at risk.
Also there are pirates who are innovating and finding ways again to make a living and the newbies are finally safe in most parts of Empire space. Good job! CCP

StoreSlem neither is the Gallente "damage bonus"
However I just have one minor issue with the latest patch: it won't let you drop cargo containers to make a warp marker. I tried earlier with my Bestower. Mind you earlier I "jettisoned" an item in my Punisher, then when I attempted to jettison a second one it told me I had to wait for another can to be loaded or something... But now (the next day) I attempt to jettison a bit of ore and it tells me I have to wait 3.5 minutes!?! I've never jettisoned anything with the Bestower before?????
All I can think of is that this is some kind of incredibly stupid response to what some lame bastige was calling an "Exploit"!! I mean common give me a break. Now I can't even drop a marker. Not even one! That's messed up IMO.

Maybe its complicated but thats one object they could put in: beacons. You would use them to make a bookmark, instead of droping cargo.
