No Zealot setups in the sticky 
Going to be able to fly one in 9days, so could use some help on setups. Can you fit a full rack of Heavy Pulse II's with a decent tank?

yes.
but better to fit a full rack of pulse IIs, and at least 3 or 4 HS IIs and a small tank.

Dont have one yet but if it fits im going to run.
Highs: 4x Heavy pulse 2s, one medium nos(if it fits, or small)
Mids: 1 web, 1 cap rechargfer 2, 1 ab 2
Lows: 2 heatsink 2s, 2 thermal hardener 2s, 1 kinetic hardener,
1 em or explosive hardener (i cant remember the base res atm) and 1 mediun armor rep 2
I figure if i can fit it all then you get a great tank and high damage
2005.04.05 19:01:31 combat Your Medium Pulse Laser II perfectly
strikes Brothel, wrecking for 260.3 damage.

I've been using this for lvl 4 missions, pre and post pulse nerf.
4x heavy pulse II
1x diminishing med nos
1x 10mn ab II
1x tracking computer II
1x web
1x med armour rep II
1x thermal hardener
3x hs II
2x cap relay
Kills everything, real fast.
For PvP you would need a scrambler instead of the tracking computer, and more heatsinks

i supose you fight angels? and what exacly happens if, say, 20 cruisers (happened to me) aggro u at the same time?

If I wanted to sit around all day tanking everything and killing without any thought I'd fly a Raven.
Half is what you fly, the other half is how you fly it. Using a zealot requires changing tactics dependant on what you're against. Sometimes I kite, sometimes gank, sometimes tank and sometimes say **** it and go get out the apoc.
Finding out what it can and can't do is all part of the fun though, which for me is what it's all about.

Lordy you're right lets all stop using any ship other than a raven for NPC'ing. Or wait a sec, maybe some of us want to have FUN

4x Heavy Pulse II
1x F-90 Sensor Booster, 2x Tracking Comp II
1x Medium Repairer II (or named, I think the patch added 3 CPU to med. rep. IIs), 6x Heatsink II
1. Be aligned for warp.
2. Set the repairer on auto as soon as you are the target of anything bigger than a cruiser.
3. Crush all resistance.

1x X5 web (or warp jammer for lone PvP)

Ive killed Ravens and never had to run from a 1v1 in my setup, but Im keeping it quiet for now :)

What raven pilots doesnt have 6 launchers fitted???, and if hes got 6 launchers and the normal 2 med nos then theres no way youd kill him before hed kill you, you can setup the zealot to tank stupidly well but even so i dont think killing the raven is possible if you have a major tank.
Even if you did get close to killing the raven hed just warp off, most have 4+ warp stabs fitted and still a full offensive capability.
Hmm, you have been lucky and fought bs pilots with a) no tank at all or b) no nosferato fitted. Either of those setups ( anyone i fly with in game ) on a bs and NO zealot is gonna take em down.
I been flying zealots for 4 months now exclusivly in pvp, you can take down bs in them, im not disputing that but its the luck of the draw with any pvp as to what the other guy has fitted.
I still try flying omens round trying to kill bs, it can be done.
