I keep on having the same problem for several months now and I can't find a reason as to why this game locks up or freezes my PC! Can anyone help me?
My Aurora is just new, with up to date graphics and ****.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3960X CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz RAM: 16.0 GB It's a 64 operating System my graphics card is a AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series.
Is this the information you guys need or need more? |

Write a detailed paragraph or two, of what exactly you do. When it comes to launching the client, what happens to the client, any error messages you see, any weird behavior that happens. Your hardware is identical to a lot of other peoples hardware which have no issues running the game. So it is more than likely a really obscure problem that you need to isolate and track down by figuring out where it is going wrong.
Please also list any software, such as those that add overlays to games, video recording tools, or running programs at the time of launching EVE. (Also, from an initial hunch, lock up or freezing of a PC is almost always a hardware issue. Sometimes it is coincidence that a certain piece of software keeps exposing the issue) CCP Paradox | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Super Friends @CCP_Paradox |

Ok.
Well, what I do normally is play the game. Like any other regular day on EVE. There are no error messages, nor any problems that come across when starting the launcher, client, or playing the game.
When playing, it's usually an hour or two before the entire PC completely freezes or locks up. There is no way to stop it, I had to shut it off and restart it.
ALso, I do not have any overlays on the game. Did not use any recordings or ran any other programs prior to launching.
I never had this problem with my PC on other games. It works fine with The Witcher 2, Skyrim, Borderlands 2 and Dishonored at the highest quality. |

You might be experiencing the same thing as me. What's in common between us is the use of Intel processors, though mine is an i5 rather than an i7. You too should have plenty of RAM to play the game, as well as a plenty-powerful enough video card. Just like me.
Please check out my thread and the screenshots in there. Are you experiencing some of the same graphics glitches before your computer locks up? If so we might be experiencing the same problem.

No. I actually did not experience any glitches or problems with the graphics before the lock up. |

That's probably not true. A lot of people who have ATI 7xxx cards and a X79 Mainboard (socket 2011 CPU) experience a freeze-problem. See this thread:

The freeze-problem described in the linked thread can be reproduced by opening the star map for a few minutes. Opening the star map on multiple clients freezes the computer even sooner. |

Oh. I don't have multiple clients up. Nor do I use the star map much. |
