this is a satellite thats taking pics of the world, didn't belive my brother till I saw it myself. Its a modified version of this maps.google.com.

USA and iceland are the only places with some detail :S
at least I found my town, couldn't pinpoint my house thou :P

but thats only because her city's photos have much more detial than my own . . . that's my story and i'm sticking to it

Your better off with
http://www.keyhole.com it has a far better cover than the google mapping, and If im not mistaken I think Google bought this comapny

That airfield the livejournal guy found is very weird looking. At maximum zoom you can see a plane on the runway, but its hard to make out any normal looking buildings any ground vehicles, hangers or a tower.
I find it a little odd that the only sign of human activity on that airfield is a fairly large jet with nothing else. Also the surface there looks alot like mars it even has what looks like little craters scattered about.
If you go down and to the right a little bit you will see it is connected by dirt roads to a another weird thing that looks like the foot print of very large buidlings but it is just an outline in the dirt.
The green circle things are also super weird. They are not just to the north of area 51 they are all over the immediate region. And looking at some of the spots that were taken at different times during the year they are no longer green but are black(kind of looks like some very big sewage treatment but considering the lack of habitation in the area i doubt this). Ofc they could be some kind of graphical glitch where there is a lack of picture for that spot.

Oh and if anyone who is familiar with aircraft could take a look at the linked map and tell what kind of plane it is i would greatly appreciate it.
