I got a coworker of mine to play Eve. HeŠs been playing for 3 weeks now, and IŠve guided him in the form of skills, mining style, gave him some ISK, and some viable setups for his frigs.
Last night, I built him a Vigil, and told him to slap on an Afterburner. This morning, we had the following conversation:
Me> So how do you like your Vigil?
Him> Yeah its great.
Me> Did you place the Afterburner?
Him> Yeah.
Me> Nice speed huh? What are you making on that thing? 700 to 800m/s?
Him> Nowhere near, I donŠt even make it to 500 I think!
Me> ......
Me> ...Did you turn on the afterburner?
Him> .........DOH

I was like with my civi shield booster when I started, it was a full month before I realised you had to click on some modules to activate them

I know a.. ahem.. certain person who was flying around for a couple of weeks with a load of t2 Tracking comps on his geddon, then one day he missclicked a gun and hit the tracking comp instead. To say he was mildy ammused when it lit up and started flashing would be an understatement
What made it more amusing was when he related this to his corp m8 over TS it all went very quiet
