Valdruk	Posted - 2005.04.20 20:05:00 - [1] Made it to level 2 missions and needed to upgrade my ship. So, I bought a Vexor. I am Gallente and plan to continue using their ships. So far in the missions I haven't had too many problems but would liek some advice on my set-up. Highs 2x200mm Rail 1x250mm Rail 1xHeavy Neutron Blaster Nothing in the 5th slot Mids 1x10mn Afterburner 2xCap Rechargers Lows 2xPower Diagnostics 1xCap Relay 1x something else ;) Can use 5 light drones at the moment. Might be able to use medium drones at Drone 3 and Crusier 2. Any suggestions? Mostly up against Kin and Explosive rats. Thanks! ___________________________________________
Commoner	Posted - 2005.04.20 20:32:00 - [2] I would try a setup with small guns. 4x Small neutrons + smarbomb ----- 1x MWD/AB 1x Cap Recharger 1x Stasis Web ----- 1x medium armor repairer 1x adaptive nano membran 1x cap power relay 1x armor plate of your choice.

This isn't a vexor for anything other than getting level 2's done FAST.

RShade	Posted - 2005.04.21 09:27:00 - [8] I would say use 4 Dual 150mm rails. for lv2 missions small guns would work too, but dual 150's at least have some more punch power in comparison and still have good enough tracking to hit closer targets. Having an SB on would help when frigs get too close to hit. and if your power requirements can spare it, put on a tracking enhancer in a low slot, and/or a magnetic field stab, but if you can only spare 1 low slot, do the tracking enhancer, youll need that more.

Will McBlack	Posted - 2005.04.21 12:07:00 - [10] For Level 3 missions I most oftenly use a Thorax with Tech2 small Neutron blasters and a very nice tank, supplemented with the drones. I guess for a Vexor a similar technique would work. 4 Tech2 small Neutrons + Medium or Small Nosferatu to replace the cap relay/cap recharger you wont be able to fit compared to the Thorax. Take a nice mix of medium drones and go wild with your Drone Swarm :D (me is certainly gonna try this Vexor setup for Level 3 missions)

Using Dual 150s now and a medium Nos. Definitely appreciate all of the advice, haven't had a problem with any level 2 mission as of yet! Thanks again. ___________________________________________
Delacho	Posted - 2005.04.21 14:32:00 - [12] my industry char needed standing, so had to do missions and so had to get a cruiser. setup was easy enough: 8 drones (needed drones for mining in 0.5 systems anyway) mix of med, small and heavy drones. then the setup: high: 5 150mm railguns (only got 500sp in gunnery, so nothing much to pick from there) medium: medium shield booster, large shield extender, mwd low: some cap relays (i know kills your shield tanking, but who cares with 2000 shield in lvl2 missions) and nanofibers for getting around fast. key for it are those drones, they do the job for you, you only deliver them to where they need to be. if my char with 500 gunnery and almost no engineering skills can do this, then everyone can do this. prolly one of the lowest possible SP investment wise ways to do lvl2 missions.

Take a nice mix of medium drones and go wild with your Drone Swarm :D (me is certainly gonna try this Vexor setup for Level 3 missions) I'm not sure the vexor can do the harder level 3's without very high skills... you'd need 15 medium drones, 2 hardeners, medium tech II armor repairer, cap relay + cap rechargers in the mids... it might be a tight fit, and even then the tech II armor repairer might not be enough for something like guristas/angels extravaganza. It should get through the easier ones though. A thorax on the other hand because of the extra low slot and extra PG can do level 3's much much easier... can also handle 8 heavy drones, which is nice. :)

I love the Vexor, had a Kill the Informant today and I just took my time. The warp in on the second stage, the drones about smoked me until I warped out and put a armour rep on my ship :) Thanks again all.
