Can they be used in HiSec, like outside station? I'm getting mixed information. |

OK then, to clarify... will they lock onto neutral structures like the NPC Station and station guns? |

They will only hit the nearest destructible target.
Though feel free to test in on the test server. |

FYI the nearest target to have aggressed you can also be a drone as far as I know. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the missiles consider the 5 drones around you 5 individual targets with the same priority as the ship that launched those drones...

Yea, exactly. Except higher priority really, since as you mentioned they're generally closer than the launching ship. The closest aggressing object is rarely what you want your missiles to be shooting, but when it is, the results are beautiful. Nothing like ramming a falcon off alignment while pounding it to pieces with F.O.F's to make you realize that Caldari can be a beautiful PvP race.

Yeah, they can be really useful if you've been jammed - but - you really need to do some maneuvering with your ship so that they don't engage things like a hostile station in a mission, instead of the things actually shooting at you. If they've picked out such a target to shoot at the only way you're going to get them off of it - is to get away from that target.
Other stupid targets they may pick could be anything. I've had automatic targeting devices lock onto hostile gas clouds ... I also accidentally shot at one of my own ships once and the FOF's would consistently go after that friendly ship that shot at them every damn time from then on.

You can use F.o.F missiles in highsec without concondocken , quite handy against ec drones. You can also try to force jamming ships away by flying close to them and using fof missiles. |

I don't believe there's any way for F.O.F's to get you concorded (if something has aggressed you you're generally good to shoot it), so there's nothing particularly wrong with using them in highsec. But given :CCP: I wouldn't be surprised if someone proves me wrong. |

But given :CCP: I wouldn't be surprised if someone proves me wrong. FOF missiles, like drones, can never auto-target in a manner which gets you concorded, OR begins aggression. i.e. if a salvage ninja goes red in your mission, they will not shoot it.
They're more or less the same targeting AI, and FOF missiles and drones will tend to engage the same target. Quite useful in a Rattlesnake if you're jammed. I've personally tested this extensively in an AFK Gila. - "Do not touch anything unnecessarily. Beware of pretty girls in dance halls and parks who may be spies, as well as bicycles, revolvers, uniforms, arms, dead horses, and men lying on roads -- they are not there accidentally." -Soviet infantry manual, issued in the 1930's |

But why do FoF's attack structures? Structures may be owned by a foe but they can never be a foe.
i would suggest to change that mechanic: FoF should only attack targets who has aggressed me in any way. |

They work fine. They're of limited use in PVE but I suppose you could experiment with them. AFK missioning in a Gila or Snake could work but other than that for PVE they're 'ok' at best.
For PVP I always carry them if I'm in a missile platform. As mentioned before they can be extremely useful at taking out enemy ships that think they're safe because you're jammed. I've killed several falcons with FOF's who got cocky and stayed around too long and let me bump them off alignment ;)
