EVE has very bad support!!!!!!!
The Server lags, u lost your expensive ships, the time where u have working very hard, then they say "sorry, it was not a server problem, we cannot give your ship back"
We pay monthly to play EVE, to make money. We working very hard, and bring many time to become equipments or build a ship. And from lag or connect lost, u lost your 1 month work, then they say "sorry"
Whats that for support????
They bring skill on the market, u buy it very expensive, because u think, u can have more bonus. After u buy, and learn i, u see, it is not active. U make then petition, they say then "sorry"
They say for all "sorry" are this guys stupid??????
What do u thin over EVE Support??
WE PAY MONEY and WILL BETTER SUPPORT!!!!
They test any patches for any days, and after a patch do not working any days.
The guys thinking, its only a game. When i thin its a game, i can play other game. This is live game, and u need anything to have fun. We go mining for any days, are we go looting to buy a BPO, or build a ship or something. And they Destroy our works with this server problems. When u make petition, then "sorry".
What are u thinking about that????

Loomz, try doing a trace route to the Eve server, then you'll see where the problem crops up. Click the Start menu, click Run, type in "cmd" and click OK. In the window that comes up, type in: "tracert eve-online.com" and hit Enter. Then, on the stuff that appears, when you see a * in any of the places, that's the source of the problem. ---------- I'm not going to protect you from your own stupidity. I'd say 80% of lag problems in EVE have little to do with the server, and more to do with your computer.
The only times I get lag are when it's about to go down, and that's rare compared to some other games that fly instantly to mind.
Check your system specs. if you see any of the following:
1. Celeron 2. 128MB RAM 3. 20GB HD 4. E-Machines 5. 16mb/32mb Video memory 6. Anything less than 1ghz 7. 56k Modem
then the problem is on your computer, not with the server...which is why they didn't give you your stuff back. "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |

Interesting how your background sig color matches your avatar's eyeshade.
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.

You know what guys **** happens and everyone looses ships. Deal with it and go back to making money... What I have came to find out is that when most people loose ships they get angry and start a petition, and are like "omfg CCP you suck I lost my ship because of your servers.....bla bla bla flame flame flame"
From what I have learned from playing for almost 2 years now is that when you scream at the GMS they dont like it very much and wont help you out very much. I have had many ship losees due to game mechanics, and if you actually have a good reason and atleast some evidence, and dont scream at them, they will prolly help you out a little bit....
I have never had a problem with eve support, I mean really guys think about it they do pretty damn well for having to babysit 12,000+ players at a time.
Mabye check your system, cause most of the time its your computer. :)
Thanks just my opinion

theivery and other stuff that happens like escrow scams and such are allowed by CCP , to bad they dont have a way to set these scammers to have consequences like if enough people send in a scam alert to concord 1 complaint per char in a certain amount of time then its open season on that character or concord extracts justice when they go to a gate. i thought they had a excellent idea on how to make ore theives accountable by making them flagged if they picked up anything from a container not belonging to them or there corp. but guess they decided to support the criminals and not the law abiding pilots

You can always leave the game. The less people in the server, the less lag for me. The more worried CCP is with their financial britches, the more they will blow to the remaining customers like me.

None of that has anything to do with lag problems. Lag can be caused by having a crappy ISP (Internet Service Provider - the people who sell you "the internet" (access to it really)).
It can also occur from being on a 56k in a house or apartment with shoddy wiring.

i have a 33k modem, eve's connection runs fine for me, just takes a little bit of time to load new systems. but, my computer sucks, 1.7ghz celeron, 128mb radeon 9200 se, 256mb of RAM, it runs fairly ok usually, but if i get swarmed, i get a 30 second to a minute freeze, i've made up some pretty good swear words in that time, and my computer monitor now has bite marks on it (i survived that time, with 25% structure) now that i'm better at tanking and stuff, it doesnt bother me as much anymore, but, it can get frustrating. if anyone wants to get rid of their old computer stuff (stuff that's better than mine), i'd be glad to take it off your hands :P

I have never understood people with that attitude. If everyone that was told to just quit the game actually did then who would you play with?
Eve support does suck, when server crashed for the whole weekend I lost everything I hade made in my first week and a half in a indy killed by NPC in .7 sec. I couldnt retrieve my can with 11k livestock because of server kicking and 5 jumps to another indy.
to make a long story short I petitioned and recieved a new indy, no cargo.
Believe you me the email I sent back was not a happy one. (sorry who ever had to read it and respond) Thank god I was on a trial account and threatend to not suscribe or I seriously doubt it would have been returned.
I used to have a nice sig but it keeps getting removed by somone with no explanation. Typical isnt it. |

I have a serious problem with most every MMO I have ever played in regards to this.
The CS reps will almost ALWAYS refuse to reimburse people who claim to have lost items/money due to server problems.
Unless they can bring up a log that shows them exactly what was lost and how it was lost your pretty much out of luck.
What I don't get is why not just give these people what they are asking for or at least part of it.
Hell, ask the rest of the playerbase what they would prefer as a re-imbursement policy. By denying a request for re-imbursment all your doing is protecting the rest of the players from having an advantage given to someone who PERHAPS doesn't deserve it. Frankly it wouldn't bother me in the least if you gave 500 people a few hundred million once because they claimed he lost some stuff due to server problems.
Keeps logs on what you reimburse, and if the same guy comes back 3 times in 3 months then I can see cutting him off, but when it comes down to doleing out a few hundred million isk or ****ing a customer off i'm gunna have to say your best bet is to shell out the money. It doesn't cost CCP anything, and in the long run it saves them money because the CS doesn't have to spend much time adding the money to the players account, and the player is happy. CS gets to not waste time listening to a crabby player and the player gets their money.
As a player I would prefer companies be a bit too loose with their re-imbursements than too tight. A few hundred million isn't gunna ruin Eve's economy, but it might ruin CCP's economy in real life in the long run.
In general though I would have to say the quality of Eve's support isn't bad. I just disagree with this policy.

i have had good responce from eve so far, but it is situational
my bro has crashed out during lvl's 4's about maybe 10-15 times since the patch
every time he gets back on he just manages to survive i wouldn't be surprised if many have lost thier work through these problems
comparing eve GM's to WoW......well WoW band me for my name....thumbs down for WoW >:-E3 !!!rrraY I'm an anti pirate,...life's the wrong way round. |

I honestly think that CCP has the BEST support of their game over any other company out there. I played on EQ and WoW when they both first came out, and holy crap, couldn't get a GM to answer within the first DAY, much less an hour. I've yet to have to wait longer than one hour for a response from CCP. But I digress.
The lag problem is most likely one dealing with a bad connection to the 'net. Best to do as I said before, run a trace route, find where the times spike up to high numbers or just completely time out, and get ahold of that company. I have to do that every so often with another game I play, and it gets cleared up pretty fast. ---------- I'm not going to protect you from your own stupidity. I'm a space pirate, not your mother. |

I agree. My experiences with the EVE support staff have been better than any other MMO I have played. They respond fairly quick, and they actually take the time to provide quality help. Most MMOs today have terrible outsourced support that follows a set script, leaving the end user with terrible answers that don't relate to the support topic. |

My experience with EVE support has been excellent. Recently I had a situation where I had two CTD's within a relatively short period of time, resulting in not being able to log in. I petitioned this both times, and in both cases, a GM answered the petitions literally within seconds. We solved the issue, and I'm a happy camper.

Find me another service that awards extra gametime when there are server issues without even having to be asked.
EVE is by gamers for gamers. Remember this. "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |
