Well I guess even if the news is GREAT news we STILL cannot cut and paste a Dev Response (Sorry CCP I was just passing on the good news)
But all POS users rejoice as the problem has been solved. After careful monitoring the fuel in our POS's is stable so far. Good Job CCP

Can I contact you in game for a "wtf?" explanation? --- "All of us who are concerned for peace and triumph of reason and justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest good will exert upon events in the political field" - A.E. |

why is ccp preventing people from quoting petition answers when they are positive and show CCP has solved an ongoing issue ???
CCP here is a bright idea for you... when you know you just resolved an issue that players have been clamoring about for ever ... have one of your guys take 10 minutes of his time to POST the said answer himself on the forums so as to let all know ! One would think you would want to let as many as possible know about the positive outcome...
But hey maybe that's just a little too easy and straighforward....

Tas...Tas...Tas. That would make WAY too much sense my friend. They'd never do such an intelligent thing.

Thank god for that... That went on for too long.. Pity it did take so long to resolve though.

Now this is a GOOD thing !
I guess (hope) that I can stop sweating every time that I go to check the resources on my POSs.

Ok I'm lost, call me noob. I try to do as much forum reading as possible and ask as few questions as I can. But this thread is evading my understand.
I'm guessing you all are talking about how a POS burns more fuel than it is supost to? Like for example my Large Gallente tower is burning more Liquid ozone than it should. I read this thread last night at work, thought oh cool, it's fixed. Got home and ran out to my POS (which has been operating less than a week)and sure enough the Liquid ozone time to depletion does not match the other fuels. 16 hours off! /me grabs the sledge hammer and starts beating on the control tower.
I grab some more fuel and tug it out to the POS. Ok cool, all the fuel types are showing 2 days 17 hours. They all match again, and with any luck in the morning they will still match. Park my truck in a nice safe station and head off to the bar.
I come back out to my POS 8 hours and 47 minutes later and low and behold then dang station ate a whole bunch of extra Liquid Ozone again!!! In 8 hours it chewed up and extra 6 hours worth of ozone. I dragged 256 units more fuel out and topped everything off so they match again, and I'll check the situation again in about 4 hours when I run home from work to start hunting down the slim bag that sold me this tower. At this point I'm putting all Gallente tower salesmen on my KOS list.
So in short as of 1 hour ago just before the unscheduled outage my POS is still eating more Liquid Ozone than it is supost to.
(other relevant info: Lrg Gallente tower, 4 moon harvesters, one medium reactor, 3 coupling arrey's, 3 silos, 2 medium railguns, 2 small railguns, 2 small blaster ammo gun things, one sensor dampener. Bran new station where only the 3 Silos have been offlined and onlined twice.)

Hopefully yhey will let my version stay siince its a fix and not a quote!
The crux of the problem was when you added fuel it showed the wrong # of days.
Example. You add 3 REAL days worth of fuel It shows you 17 days worth or somethign like that. So No one was losing $$ it was a counter problem that was fixed. I have seen no sever drops in fuel (Ozone or Heavy Water) in quite a while now.
Once again good job CCP.

Hum... so it looks like all the ones that screamed for this bug never ran the numbers about POS consumption after seeing that they were losing days of fuel?
I guess that I would know if I am putting 3 days or 17 days worth of fuel in my POS...
Or did I get it wrong?
