CCP... Do you have any future plans to END the daily downtimes? This is the only MMO that I've ever played that has a daily downtime.I really hope you guys are going to get rid of it sometime soon.

Farbeit that i jump on CCP's bandwagon,(Im still waiting on customer service 72 hours and counting now) but,
Stating a public daily downtime is the only thing i have seen EVE do right asside from the game being fun when it works.. Setting those custoemr expectations means i dont wake up at 730 EST and get ****ed cause the server is down. Customer Expectations have to be set right away or your customers will get ****ed. All the guys in my datacenter that play(ed) this game were happy to see them bounce the servers daily, this sets customer expectations and i think reduces small little creepy bugs like mem leaks etc. Plus i believe they reset the market. Anyway, for those who wanted to see something positive come out of my mouth there it is.
My subscription is still canceled, until i get my ship back or they force me to delete the game forever...24 hours now the clock is ticking.

I Agree, although I still think they should make the downtime expectation 2 hours. Since virtually every day they overrun slightly, this would allow them to nearly always have the servers up in time.
If they're going to be doing a mega patch etc and know it will be a lot of work, schedule a 3 hour downtime 2 days in advance. There is nothing wrong with servers coming back online early :)

all GOOD mmorpgs have downtimes, you dont know what its like without them!

Then they will not realy be able to relase this game properly over on my side of the world ie Australia. Some of you lot may be thinking "who cares about them", however please bare in mind that Australia does share its time zone with a large majoraty of the lucrative Asian market. For this reason there is often Asian's in Australian corps/guilds and vice versa. There is also Americans and Europeans in Australain corps/guilds who like to stay up to un-godly hours of the morning to play with us Aussies for some reason, but I degress.
PLEASE get rid of the downtime, or at least move it OUT of our gaming prime-time which for us is 9pm to 10pm. Not only is it bloody annoying, but its also a bit late to cook ones dinner and there is nothing bloody good to watch on TV that time of night!
I at least hope they fix the downtime before they release EVE in my part of the world, thankyou.
