Alot of people complaining about lag.
What about moving out of lagged core systems?
Any of you thing about it? There is 5000 systems in this game.
Is it really impossible to move out of yulai/manarq/jita?

THe lag problem is not isolated to those systems/regions, and, to simply "move" to a less laggy system, i.e., less populated, would more than likely take lossing a ship to PvP pirated. The answer is not runing form the problem, but getting it delt with so EVERYONE can have a good lag free time. ________________________________________________ 0.0 Come fly with us... |

in answer to your question, yes it is impossible when i cant log my main character on. Who is currently in yulai.

Well its not solution for just now. Its proposition for whole game.
Let me repeat. This game has more then 5000 systems, few thousand in empire only. 90% of them are not lagged but in yulai there is 200 people. No server can hold such a load

Lag problem is isolated to those core systems.
Lag is caused by ****load of people sitting in one system. No server can hold such a load

Wow, that's a great idea!
How about for the next major patch, CCP introduces a bunch of new items and features designed to get people out of the Empire core, and out into 0.0.
What would be a good name for such a patch? I know! How about, maybe, EXODUS.
You could put free gold-plated faction battleships in 0.0. You will still have 80% of the population clustering around Yulai.

well if u pass thro yulai (as i had to) you would see that it takes 30-40 mins... and it was prefectly ok this morning and earily afternoon. its only recently its become very laggy. so itmust be something wrong with the server. -----------

Im not talking about 0.0
Im talking about 0.9 to 0.5 systems all around empire that are almost completely empty.
Did you ever though about moving out of core systems?
Dont blame CCP about your own stubborness (spelling)

Check map, you will see that in core systems you have few thousand people ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Edited by: Valan on 24/04/2005 21:29:37 I've mentioned this to my corp mates. For instance Rens has had over 150 people in it for long since before level 4 agents. Its the concentration of level 2 and 3 that draws the crowds. It now peaks at 200 players, previously the system performed well at 180 now its lagged at around 150. I pulled out months ago due to lag I've encouraged others to do the same. Yulai is unpassable at 150 also, as my alt found today.
There have been one or two restarts and one or two DTs that have gone a little shape of the pear.
So here's the conspiracy bit. Exodus through lag and server load balancing. Its what I would do, best solution. No heavy nerfs or content change just a little gentle nudge.

It amazes me when there exists a problem, and there are still those who rise up and play it down with some short-cut "1337" solution. The fact of the matter is, we pay for this game. As a customer, I expect to at least get some basic performance. 30 second lag spikes is unacceptable.

the reason we have so many ppl in those systems is that they have all jumped in and not actually loaded, a simple avoid this part of space warning would have helped from CCP, but it didnt arrive..
and what a stupid thing to say, "dont use those systems"... thats like saying to ppl in real life, look, central london is bizi, just dont use it, and prob solved.
those systems are the backbone of EVE and are usually bizi for a reason...

If you have car, would u take this car to most crowded highway in the country or take it through less crowded roads to get somewhere fast?
If you have car, do you live on the highway?
I know we pay for this game but it doesnt mean, CCP can do everything. Its all about technical possibilities. You just CANT make car move faster then light. Its simple. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
