I see absolutely no harm in it as if people want to travel around really fast, they can just pod themselves and wake up in the station of their choice.
For example - Let's say i live in null, and realise that i need a skillbook not available in the surrounding area, and need to prep some ships for moving in another station - with the current jump clone system, it would take 48 hours for me to get this done and be back at my "home"
Podding yourself, updating clone level and medical station would let me get the same done in less than 10 minutes - but i need to be willing to lose any implants i may have and risk forgetting to update the clone.
If this skill is put into existence, the JC timer would go down (at max level) to 4 hours - much more reasonable. |

I think it would be a good idea, and also 'no harm done' as far as I can see.
I will add though: With the advent of the nullified T3, you can fly anywhere in EVE and be back in much less then 48, or 24 hours. About 1 minute per jump is a good calculation to base from. |

You still have to spend time at the wheel making sure you don't screw up - granted it is possible, but it's no easy transport |

isnt that the fun in Eve though? having to fly across the universe yourself... that on the edge of seat moment, when you can't cloak at a gate.. all part of the game. If the game had what you're suggesting, traffic would deffinately decrease in certain hostile regions, forcing PvP into massive blob engagements towards the outer edges of null
Of course, this is my opinion...

I'd like to see a skill that reduces the timer by 1 hour per level, but making it something you can do multiple times per day is not something I think should happen.
I say 1 hour per level so that you can clone-jump at the end of your play-time on day 1, then jump again at the start of your play time the next. |

I say it in every thread related to JC times and I'll say it again here.
The simplest solution would not be to add a new skill, but to change the 24h cooldown on JC jumping to 24h per clone. No need for new skills, no need to complicate things. |

People are just being realistic, if in a way... Time you spend training is time you spend subbed. This aspect of EVE is ridiculously powerful @ holding subs. If not for that, I'd unsub several times over already |

I'm no Sov expert here but this would make it impossible to camp people into stations in 0.0, which is a viable tactic to keep people from forming for any sort of timer. So if we have a changes that its 24hrs CD per clone, which is ********, you would see groups bouncing around to the uncamped station. It would basically make camping people in impossible. Just have sets of ships for all doctrines and a JC at multiple stations.
Having a skill that lowers the jump time to multiple jumps per day is basically the same thing but isn't as stupid as a CD per clone.
EDIT
You could argue that not everybody is in 0.0 and blah blah blah but it still would effect a large player base and they aren't going to code pod jumping to behave differently in high/low vs. null. Lets be real here folks. |

The reason this skill is not here is that it would very fast become a "mandatory skill" for a lot of alliances. If everyone is going to have it then what is the bennefit of the skill if not to diversify? How it is now adds a desicion making process to the jump wich is cool. Choices should have concequences. Its a sandbox after all. |

Not sure if this has been discussed but why not make it distance based? e.g. If you're in a station with all your clones then you have a 2 hours timer, if your JC is x AU away then the timer will be x hours etc (up to a maximum timer of 24hours) |

Slaved clone for flying abc, Crystal clone for flying def and so on. Most, if not all LowSec residents use clones this way. Not too sure about HighSec but you get the idea |

Nah, better to make it so each clone has a separate timer. Fits rl schedules better (for switching between career clones, don't ***** some of us work). There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

JC timer is annoying but with out it force projection would scale up again. I know i have clones for plexing/ratting (top end implants) and for PvP(cheap and nasty). a skill to pull it down to 16-20 hours would be good but not much more then that. |

Jump Clones should be removed from the game. Just make implants unpluggable, while in station.
Being able to clone jump from deep 0.0 to HiSec is just plain silly amd makes EVE seen extremely small. |

Because they want instant travel to be a once-a-day kind of thing since it reduces the size of space, lets you skip past dangers, and generally makes things safer than they could be. All of those are bad things.
The JC timer could be reduced to 23 hours, though, to remove the silly fence post error and actually make it work once a day, rather than once-a-day-and-a-bit. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

I'd personally like to se the timer just moved to every 12 hrs.
No skill added. No extra jumps per clone.
Being able to jump 1-2 times in the same 24hr period would bring it into a good level.
Skill with 4 hrs per level would be jump clone every 4hrs at level 5 and this is too often to not hurt the game.
Even 16 hrs would be nice (( call it a double rest cycle 8hrs sleep x2 needed to have brain prepaired for jump )) |

There is nothing stopping people from doing what you describe now. If a big bad gang corners a bunch of people in their outpost, they could easily just JC to a different system that has combat ships as well and either leave the space or come attack you from behind. Granted it only allows for that kind of shenanigans to happen once per day per toon. |

Long jump clone timers reduce the amount people are willing to pvp. If you just jumped into slaves for something, and then your corpmates want to go roam nullsec, odds are you are going to decline. |

What would be nice is that if I was in 0.0 and needed to get a skill book that I wanted is if there were these gates that could let me travel several light years at once, maybe name them jump gates or something like that, and then my alliance could set up a network corridor that would allow me to do this in say 7-10 jumps so that it only takes me 10-20 minutes to get this done. Oh wait......................
