Edited by: kieron on 26/04/2005 19:24:08 Have an issue or constructive critisism about the patch? Post it here, but keep in mind that the forum rules still apply. Please keep posts limited to patch issues, as other posts will be removed. As with any in-game issue or problem, make sure you submit a Bug Report.
This post will be updated with information as issues are addressed.
- "Unscheduled Downtime"- DDoS attack on network partners. See News for more information.
- Medium and Large Ammo range changes- Per Hammerhead, these will be reverted during the maintenance period on Tuesday, 26 April.
- Rookie Help Channel (RHC)access removal- Access limitations for RHC were not put into place for the reasons listed in this post. They were put in because of the numer of complaints from veteran players that ended up in RHC and did not want to be.
- Zero Skill, No Skills Display Error- The patch notes stated that the resolution for this issue is being investigated and that the patch included the first portion of the solution. Skills may still be viewed bug-free on the My Character page.
- Continued efforts are being made with the Skill Display bug. Hotfix applied 26 April with a potential solution. If this is still occuring, please file a bug report with steps to duplicate. QA is having difficulties duplicating this bug.
- Agents check for Politican and Military Connection skills again, and storyline mission assignment errors have been hotfixed on 26 April. Secure space based agents are also more careful when distributing missions with destinations in sub .5 space.

HereÆs my two cents. I think blocking all veterans from Rookie Help was a mistake. There are those of us who were in that channel everyday helping new people. We did this not only because we enjoyed helping out, but also because there isnÆt always an ISD in the channel to help. What youÆve created now is a whole channel full of newbs with no one to go to for advice. Who better to go to for help and guidance then those of us whoÆve been playing for months or years? I knowàthatÆs what ISD is for, but helping others should not be a privilege. Let those who wish to help do so. Allow veterans back into Rookie Help.

Hello, The autopilot is still really screwed up. For example, calculate a route from Hek to Gererique. For "shortest" and "safest" it takes you through a great big stretch of 0.0. It didn't used to. The "stay in low security" option actually gives you a more secure route. Only one jump of 0.0, and mostly just low sec. This should really be fixed and reverted back to the way it worked before the previous large patch. -Mejare

Yes, I have noticed this too. I no longer trust my autopilot when I'm flying around space for this reason. It has certainly landed me in some sticky situations this week .

they blocked us all from rookie help because you can often find ccp officials and even devs there from time to time. and we all know how the dev's don't like to be in prolonged contact with there veteran customers.
all the love goes to the new acount's.

Well, autopilot is as bad as before, no improvement at all there. Safe routes are still unsafe.
Also, had some troubles patching. One client copy reported an invalid checsum on the first .stuff file to be patched. The other install patched fine, but then gave the "transport not connected" error flooding every time you typed a key in the password box. Completely uninstalling and going fresh from a 3211 full-install and patching up to 3363 then 3366 (as there didn't seem to be a direct patch from 3211) seemed to fix everything.

We've gone monthes without affective storylines and appears we are going to be without them for working correctly for monthes to come.
Any idea what the issue is and if/whe/priority will apply?
Seems they should port them back to the way they were pre Exodus(AKA working somewhat).
What kind of refund will I be looking at due to the fact the only reason I play is for missions to get storylines to increase my Eve standings score.
If the whole reason I play is to get to a storyline and they are completely pulled from the system .......
well sorry to say i should be entitled to a refund for services not rendered if they are completely pulled from the system.
Something like that should be anounced if they are so that us diehard missioning chars can suspend our accounts being our game is completely ruined.
The fact that you guys have completely removed the storyline/importants is absolutely crippling to a character that revolves around it and to keep that info hidden and unknown to us mission runners is boardering on scamming us out of our subscriptions for a game that won't completely work for us and there is no Soon(TM) agenda on it.

Oh well, thats OK then. As that page allows us to change our skills when they have trained and we get that, we must not be loosing out on skill training. Kewl. Glad thats all sorted.

I agree, I loved helping out in the rookie channel, it made mining go by so much faster. I can understand not putting EVERYONE into it but if I want to join and I don't disrupt things I'd like too.
And I know ISD should be there at all times but it just can't be done, I was even once asked to watch the channel once by a member of ISD when he left and report if so and so started spamming. You can't have 100% coverage with a dozen or two people. Let us back in please, it's for the best.

Ok, so you went ahead and nerfed the Amarr Inquisitor. It's now inferior to the Kestral in every way that counts. Just like the Purifier vs. the Manticore, except the Purifier has some extra power grid.
How about boosting the grid of the Inquisitor to give it a raison d'etre? It would be completely consistent with the treatment of Amarr ships; i.e. heavy on armor, lots of grid. The offsetting handicaps are already in place. |

Isn't that totally intentional? Important missions are for factional standing and can be handed to you by any Corp in that faction (so you get factional standing increased and standing for that agent's corp increased). I was pretty sure the Devs hadn't stated any plans to make the corp always be the one you're currently working for.

Prior to Exodus Important mission standing went to The Faction and the corp you were working, Most people looked towards the important missions for the implant drop, but to those that were looking for that magical 6.6 for refining the extra percentage was the real bonus.
Now the corp standing goes to the corp of the storyline agent as well as the increase to faction standing. To those that are looking for the 6.6 this is no good at all, most of these special agents are in corps that donÆt have refineryÆs or factories and therefore I am never going to need the standing with them, nor will I ever sell anything through there agents as I wont be able to refine > build so I wont get any benefit from reduced taxes.
It took long enough before exodus to get your standing up, but now its such a drag, 100's of missions over and over again, at least before there was the imp mission to look forward to and when you didnÆt get an implant you could always look at the larger standing increase and think oh well thatÆs ok.
Now itÆs just a troll, like someone said in another thread, itÆs getting more and more like real life work all the time.
/End Rant.
Have a nice day

Are the empire storage agents sending us to 0.4 and less sectors a bug or planned change? Its seems unfair to force traders and cargo ships to enter deep space. A lot of people are unhappy with that change can we have none combat empire agents giving us missions that stay in empire space?
Could we have an option to lower rewards but stay in empire space? Lawless space should always be a pilots choice not something they are forced into if they want to work for agents.

0.0 agents now send u mile's for missions.
really offsets them to empire once again as the extra travel is not worth the risk and or the extra lp given.

R&D agents don't send emails anymore. Before they would send 2 emails daily, one before and one after starting a convo with them. Now it's "fixed" as in they only send you the email after going to their station and convo-ing them. Would be nice if this can be sorted, or at least make it so you can talk with them without having to go to their station.

ôAgents have caused massive inflation and killed the POS industry single handidly.ö
No they havenÆt your lucky to make 2 million an hour off storage agents sometimes more if you get a good bonus. On top of the low profit now you want to add further risk by making 100million cargo ships with expanders enter deep space so people can shoot them with no risk.
Traders should not be forced into lawless space. I donÆt have a problem with lawless space being more profitable for traders that risk it, but I donÆt like being forced into it.
I agree combat agents have caused massive inflation but I said more then once I was talking about none combat agents and those agents have not caused massive inflation.
Could the devs answer are the empire agents sending people into lawless space a bug or a planed changed?

Pottsey what Lord draco is referring to is the current bonus's that are dropping. you do some research and find out how much it takes a pos to make 150k crystlite alloy?
break down. this will take 4.4 weeks of production on a large ct. 8.8 weeks on a medium and a small can't even make it.
on a large ~50 mil of fuel a week, so atleast 200 mil in fuel. Never mind the hauling, fuelling, managing.
nope an agent runner gets this in 45 mins with 300 torps launched.. WAY TO GO CCP, i mean might as well give 2 ravens as a bonus, or 45,000 megacyte, its the same thing. Oh and i'm an agent runner and a pos owner, I've also gotten some of these drops too so far. There is no way this can be justified at all by any agent runner, that 45 mins worth of missioning is worth 200+ mil, heck if you get 100k promethium thats like 1 bil + or say 150k titanium chromide, thats 600 mil.. i mean jeez.

The 0 skills bug is still there as of yesterday. Unfortunately it seems to be random in nature and cannot be reproduced with any degree of surety.
