So one fast, convenient thing to do when running kill missions is to BM the location of cans and come back later with a MWD-equipped frig..
So far I've been using an Imicus with 2x cargo expanders, mwd + cap recharger I. But the cargo capacity is just a bit too small and the capacitor capacity gets annoying sometimes (can't warp too far w/out resting). So I'm looking for a good alternative.
After doing some research I'm thinking the Amarr destroyer- coercer, is the best choice. It's got a decent base speed, generous base cargo hold of 300 m3, and 4 low slots- so i can icnrease that cargo capacity by quite a bit or add speed mods if so desired. It's also got a good capacitor capacity.
So it seems like this ship is the ideal loot picker-upper... what do you think?

I use a probe with an Afterburner II and a Partial+Alpha cargo expansion setup. Works plenty fine for me.

I use a Sigil with 5x Nanofibers in the low slots. It gets over 700m/s when fitted with a 10mn ab. It has good agility, it never overshoots cans, and it hauls over 3675m3.

I use iteron 3 with all nanofibers in lows and 10mn afterburner seems todo a good job and you won't be crying for space, I find it more effiect than anything else I tried (although no doubt there is other good haulers for this)

I use Exequror cruiser, 600 base cargo with a bonus per level.

Edited by: Atandros on 26/04/2005 03:26:40 Yeah, Sigil as well. Almost 900 with named nanofibers and a 10MN ABII, and can hold all the loot from all missions I've come across so far, so I've taken to simply picking up every single thing and melting it all. |

intersting about the Sigil...
but what about those situations where loot is scatered accross wide area, sometimes over 100km wide? With my MWD-equipped frig this is no problem, but one time I tried using a AB'ed cruiser going arund 600 m/s and it felt greuling

Probe T2 mwd on manual mode and cargo expanders. Once you get the trick of timing the mwd you ll be on cans in no time even with overshoot. Only things you hate as loot with frigate/destroyer are drones and cap boosters because they take lots of room.

I use a Prowler with overdrives and a 10MN MWD II.
415 m/s base, 3102 m/s with MWD, and enough cargo hold for all the loot

I use my alt for this task, I do missions and control my alt on the second comp.
My alt is using a Iteron mark V with cap rechargers and a named afterburner in med slots and overdrive injectors in all the low slots witch gives a base speed of 330m/s and a boosted speed of over 660m/s. I do lvl4 missions and he has no problem with the far far away cans.
btw good ide with the nano fibers might try that but he got evasive manuvering lvl5 so he is pretty agile as it is in his mark V :)

Sigil full of Nanofibers, with a 10mn AB and lvl 5 navigation propels you at 900+ m/s. With maximum Evasive Maneuvers too, the thing will handle like a frigate. Godlike.

Originally by: Valerien So I'm looking for a good alternative.
Iteron V, with 5 nanofibres and a 10mn AB does about 7-800m/s, fast to turn and holds 7500m3 of cargo.
If you dont want to train for that long get a sigil as its just as fast but can hold ~3000m3.

I use a Bantam 1 cargo expander, 1 tech2MWD has about 360m3 cargo and I use 3 small cc's to give me a little more space for modules. Goes 600 something and works for my lvl3 agent mission loot gathering needs. You're only a martyr if someone cares about you. |

Sigil!
Mine goes 1082 ms :)
and has 3600 m¦ cargo hold
tech II 10mn ab, 5 named nanofibers the local ones.
amarr indy lvl 4, navigation lvl 5, 5% velocity implant.
This thing goes into warp almost as fast as a frig :) its stops fast, turns fast , best loot grabber out there in my opnion.

Well I use a Iteron Mk5 myself, but I'm normaly in with everyone else doing the level 4 mission. I carry 2x small nos, 1 AB named, 2 target painters, 2 Webs, and 5 nano fibers.
I'm used as a tackler, looter and ammo storage. It takes abit of getting use to going up to BS's and orbiting them at 4.5km but well worth it. I get first chance of picking up the loot and slow the ships down for the heavy hitters. When on deadspace missions I normaly have over 3,000 torps and cruise missiles for the people who need them. there is no bigger pain as having to warp back to base reload and warp back to deadspace and go down 4 levels just to get some torps.
There is only one rule with this job. If targeted RUN.

Kessy, mwd, 2xcap extenders, alpha and beta hull mod (which i looted btw)
1400m/s, 465 cargo space, seems to do the job.
Probe is another good ship to use coz of it's bonus to cargo per lvl.

Mammoth, 4xnamed nanofiber (I use betas), tech II AB. Over 700 m/s, crazy agility and 6750 m3 cargo. Surprised more people didn't list mammoth, it's the best hauler besides the L5's and takes a lot less training. Named nano makes a huge difference in inertia, -15% instead of the -10% of standard. Any named nano above standard (the 21-24 varities) will give the -15% inertia. Sadly the Mark I nanos seem hard to find for some reason.
