Well the new drops from agents of 150,000 carbon polymers and 34,000 rolled tungsten alloy are going to kill moon mining and medium POS.
With the number of people doing agent missions there is sure to be a glut of components for your complex reactions soon and I dare say they will be cheap.
And if the devs have complex reaction output as agent drops then they then kill off all POS's.
How can any POS owner compete with crap like this and continue to run POS's. Even the good moons and people who operate POS in 0.0 space will have to give up.
The only thing a POS will be usefull for is as a safe haven in 0.0 space.
I have spent a month scanning 1200+ moons, setting up 4 POS, invested 1 Billion ISK and spent hours mining ICE. What is the damn point? I should have spent the time doing agent crap and earning 1 Billion ISK and contibuting to the massive inflation this game is suffering from. I know of others who have scanned 4 times as many moons and invested a hell of a lot more ISK than me.
Maybe I will put a few lights on the Control Towers and rent them out as Xmas trees, at least they will have a use for 1 month of the year.

lol sounds like they drop a crapload of simple reactions... now have to rethink whether we should put up a pos at all

POS owners were complaining about this proposed change as soon as we heard about it. It's a stupid change.

Agreed. Bad idea all around. Agents should give NOTHING relating to the POS construction cycle or components.

I bought the parts for a medium Amarr station. They are sitting in the hangar for now as the direct result of some of the things mentioned in this section of the forum.
CCP needs to wake up on this and either SCRAP Exodus as it pertains to POS's or find some way to provide a dispensation for POS owners as Tech2 is transfered to them over time.
I would think in the immediate short term, halving the fuel requirements for all POS's across the board would be a good start.

Hmm, what if agents instead of dropping t2 comps would drop 2 bpcs.
This might increase demand for the components, and with the t2 market getting to wrestle with the same concerns as the t1 market(actual competition) they might have to slide down from their ivory towers to compete in the pvp that is the Economy.

I'd rather that was introduced in the R&D tree. For normal agents, how about (yes, I'm repeating myself here):
Drop the trade goods that fuel POS's? This would increase the distribution centers of said trade goods (atm the supply for these goods are very centralised and take up a good amount of time to collect) as well as pushing the costs of fueling our towers DOWN thus either increasing our profitability OR decreasing the costs of the components themselves as lower POS fuel costs make setting one up more reasonable and less of a risk (ugh) to those not already in the industry.
I made this proposal the instant CCP proposed their current change. I still believe it is far more sensible than what they are trying to implement with injecting horizontally in to the production chain, instead of feeding the bottom of the chain as this idea would do.
Not a single one of those posts, nor the other ideas people have had, has had a single response. I've tried asking this question in the dev chats and it wasn't presented as a question. I really would like to know why CCP don't agree with this proposal, if for no other reason I can stop going on about it

You carry on Dianabolic I only hope to god they listen to you at some point. They spent a lot of time and effort in getting POS into the game but it sure hasn't taken them long to kill them.
I guess they only want POS in 0.0 space to act as alliance region markers for the map.
It seems strange that out of a fair number of posts in various forums on POS topic not one dev has come out and defended their stance. The current situation stinks, come on devs tell us you going to fix it or put us out of our misery so we can recycle the damn things and go and have some fun.

There is no point in owning POS... except for defence in 0.0. Everything else is just a waste of time... better of with mining scord in 1.0 than mining ice, fueling POS, hauling mined stuff to another POS & getting actually something good in the end. Or to do lvl4, get 600 reactors and scrap em...

If tech 2 manufacturing required POS, that'd be cool.....
Yep, wasn't that the idea |

I total agree with dianabolic. Make agents give out the fuel required for POS's, especially the isotopes. I keep seeing people screaming out for the isotopes, i know our corp need 180k of these a damn week for our POS. And i know we could go and mine blue ice but damn ice mining is boring i would go insane having to mine that much for our POS's. We are trying to buy the isotopes but no one is selling cos they either are using them in their own POS or dont ice mine cos its boring. Now if agents gave out fuel this whole problem would be solved. Come on CCP u need to serioulsy look at this or POS's will become a thing of the past and will never be used even in 0.0. ----- Trixy says "Keep ur friends close but ur enemies even closer" -----

as an agentrunner i agree that the latest change is crap.
the t2 comps were better than the reactions because now the moonminers are useless.
remove them altogether, give something new, more cash, tradegoods, maybe low-level named items, god, something else not related to t2 construction and still not total waste
