I created this character and learned how to go to the ship and fly, but I don't know how to do things in the base. I clicked some buttons and the screen and the ship only open windows. How can do things in the base? |

The 'base' is just an area where you can dock your ship up and take care of business using the toolbar on the left. The actual walking around the station has no point to it, and doesn't give you any extra features (yet). |

But the buttons in the base do the same as the buttons in the left? |

Pretty much, but you might as well visit it and take a look for yourself. There should be a "Enter captains quarters" -button in the top right corner of your screen where the station services buttons are located. It really is just fluff at this point with no actual added functionality. |

It's just a 3D representation of the normal functions like ship hangar, fitting, newsfeed etc. It should/could/would have been more but for the foreseeable future CCP will be showing you the door and leave it at that. Amat victoria curam. |

I can change the ship and the base with a button and then fly. I believe that the buttons in the left are the same in all the screens but i don't understand why is the buttons in the base. The character is very good but I believe that I will use the buttons in the left and no walk.

First I would guess English isn't your native language, but that's just something that caught my eye.
As for Captain's Quarters (or CQ):
At this moment the only thing you can do with your character in station is visit your own private "house".
So basically you have a spacebarbie that is locked in a prison.
In the past CCP had a vision about Walking in Stations (WiS) and CQ was the first step in that vision. They SoonGäó found out that the majority of their playerbase didn't like the vision about making WiS a big priority over the spaceship part. So CCP reversed course and now prioritize the spaceships while still having a small team working on WiS, though there hasn't been an update on it for a long long time. So don't get your hopes up about meeting others in station environment soon.
And yes, all the buttons you see in your CQ can also be found on either the left-side menu (Neocom) or on the right side menu (station menu). Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. We are not running, we are advancing in the opposite direction |

Sorry that my english is bad I use Google.
I think this is a game of space but the character is fine, is as a person. But if I can not do anything at the base then it is silly walk.
The display of the ship is also silly because everything you do with the buttons but I think it's faster when I leave the ship. I do not want to criticize but do not quite understand you have many screens if what works are the buttons.
Thank you for reply I wish that I will like the game! |

No problem that your English isn't the best around. MMO means people from all different countries and different backgrounds. With that come people who don't speak English as their native language (same here) and who might not be great at it. At least you are trying and that in itself shows that you are kind of a good player for EVE.
As for the silliness of CQ. Well, I have it disabled for 2 reasons:
1.) I like the hangar mode cause it means I can ship spin (and have a nice counter in the bottom of my screen). 2.) When you run 8 accounts in CQ mode your house will be visible from the moon with a heat camera cause your Graphics Card will be hotter then anything on Earth. So hangar mode safes me the possibility of melting my GPU. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. We are not running, we are advancing in the opposite direction |

The game is in space, you use the ship to do things.
In station, you just buy ships from the Market, buy guns, shields, armor from the Market, and sell your loot.
Then you hit >>> and undock and leave the station to play the game.
The silly walk and other station features are because the devs wanted us to bugtest walking and toons for a different game, Dust 514. |
