I always heard about how terrible Rancer was, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about since I was heading that direction anyways. It was just some well set up gatecamps. I lost a shuttle and a clone with unused implants and then continued what I was doing anyways. It was an experience but hardly warrants all the attention Rancer seems to get. Personally I'd like a refund of the ticket price, it was entirely underwhelming. |

Ok so what everyone with a free character slot should do then, is create a new toon, put a medical clone at Rancer, and then every so often organize to fly out as a 100+ strong noob frig fleet and try to kill one of the Rokhs. Not really sure if 100 civilian lasers can break the tank,, but we can always spend 100k and mount better guns and try again a few hundred times.
Pretty sure if they return fire they will be spending more per volley then a noob frig is worth, and anyway, we just go get another one. |

Destroyers much more effective even with range weapons (smartbomb range!) and remember you need a dedicated
tackler for the pod.
Prolly not bother with the icebox bombers, cheap ass aussie flying those ones and he would whine so much in
local not worth your trouble really.
You catch any of the legion of alts bombers and you might get a nice drop of faction smarts.

I go through Rancer all the time in my cloaky ships, including blockade runners. It's very simple to make it through. Just don't lollygag, and you will be fine in a cloaky ship.
