I was going to post this in the features and ideas forum (but this isn't exactly a game idea, so I'll put it here instead). My idea is for the CCP Eve merchandise store. I would LOVE to buy one of those car magnets for my car--those silver, hard plastic ones like the Jesus Fish and Darwin Fish, etc., but in the shape of an Amarr faction symbol. I just think it'd be really cool, and I bet a lot of other players would think so too and buy them as well.
Sure, I could just do something with my license plate if I really want to represent, but 1) "HARBINGER" won't fit on a plate, and 2) ZEALOT would just make everyone think I was some kind of religious weirdo. Why bother with that, when I could slap an insignia of the Amarr Empire on my car, thus revealing myself to be a harmless video game weirdo instead. There are some places that make those things in custom shapes, but they only do it in large bulk quantities, and as loyal as I am to the Amarr Empire, I'm not yet ready to encrust my car in 1000 faction insignias.
But...if CCP were to commission a bulk custom order...I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume I am not the only insufferable geek who plays this game and would be willing to send you real, hard-earned money for a shiny monacle, I mean magnificent, magnetic car insignia.
Now...I would also ask that you consider making some turret hard points for my car as well, because I would TOTALLY buy them! Or would that be crossing the line? |

Good idea. I'd also love to see little tech 2/3 and faction icons, those little colored triangles in the upper right corner of ship/item thumbnails. You could put them next to your car's model name. |

It would indeed be cool if CCP made their own bulk designs and sold these things. They are currently re-vamping the store, and will likely have neat options in the future.
In the meantime, OP, are you aware of cafepress? You can custom make tons of various things. They end up being somewhat overpriced (because they're custom-made) but you get everything you're asking for.
For example, I took a very basic shot at what you mentioned with an Amarr car magnet using just a black/white Amarr logo and some text. Have a look.

Nooo! It must only cache the design for a little while if nobody actually buys it. Oh well. It was a square magnet with this logo on a white background, with the text "Amarr Victor" underneath it. You can re-design it yourself using these templates if you want.

I came across one site several months ago that make those flexible floppy magnets onto which you can have a design printed that were more affordable, but I'd really like to see insignias made like those hard plastic "chrome" jesus fish. |

Hook up with someone doing either CNC, or who own a 3D printer like me :p
(RepRap, still needs a little tweaking, and a buddy is working on a plastic melter/extruder to recycle plastic with it)
I wouldn't mind trying to make a few as long as it was ok with CCP :) |

I actually had a dream the other night that Milton Bradley or somebody came out with an Eve Boardgame. The board itself was impossibly large and there were over 10,000 pieces, but man those abaddons looked glorious, even in 1 cm gray plastic.  |

You could even include a campaign function with a map of null sec and sell boxes of minatures to expand your collection. Make it happen CCP please

It exists. It's called Battlefleet Gothic and it's also made by GW. The rules are flexible enough to add a few house rules for POS like structures. |

It would be nice if you could reliably order currently existing items from the store without either being charged a fortune in shipping, or charged and simply never receiving your items.
The customer support is also a joke and the entire thing has been left in a sorry state for years.
