I bought a Nexus 7 and was looking through the market and came across an app called Spashtop Remote Desktop HD. I was thinking of shelling out the $9 and trying to play eve from work (going to attempt to root my phone in a few days and hotspot at work). Figure I can do a little station trading or something. Anyone have any success with this type of setup? |

Heard people whining that it doesn't work but you might be different.

Played with it a little tonight. Seems to not like all screen resolutions but tbh i didn't really expect it to work at all. Only have it connected from my router atm. haven't tried it across 3G/4G as I have not rooted my phone.

I've used my iPad and splashtop with moderate success. I'd recommend stay in station as much as possible/always. |

I've used splashtop for station trading or mining ice on an alt, it is a little fiddly until you get used to the different actions to resemble mouse buttons but good for the aspects of eve which do not require much babysitting when you can't be sat at your PC. |

I use VNC on my droid, works fine both for tablets and phone, as with always though you won't get near the fps you would like to have.

Splashtop working great on a Blackberry Playbook here (sideloaded android app), at least as good as any remote desktop software can be expected to perform. |

Teamviewer works better and it's free. It also allows you to manage multiple monitors and clients as well. |
