Edited by: Vistilantus on 01/05/2005 10:03:30 my girlfriend is allergic to any form of alcohol. Her whole body breaks out in red patches, even if she only takes 1 mouthfull.
She breaks out inred patches when we have sex too, so maybe she's allergic to sex....
EDIT: Just remembered, when we were at school, my best mate is allergic to penicilin (sp) and i was on them to help with an infection or something i had, anyway, he wanted a day off school so "borrowed" 3 or 4 of my pills...... was a pretty stupid idea, ended up in hospital for a few days

No major allergies myself, but for some strange reason, my wife is allergic to alcohol and roses. While I always have a designated driver when out with the friends, carnations just don't cut it when she has that "You're sleeping on the couch" look in her eyes.

Nothing.
But becoming allergic to wheat/dairy wouldn't be bad for my figure. --------

They're both anticoagulants (i.e. make you blood thinner) so its just possible you have weak blood vessiles in you nose
what he said, happens to me when I got the flu.
Was really funny once when I started to bleed from the nose when I was sitting in class and we got a visit from two classes from a different school. I was sitting in the corner with my head back and paper sticking out of my nose.
got some sympathy points from a girl tho

you guys have ***** allergies and problems. i am allergic too:
cheese, citrus fruit dust mite poo poo (most ppl think they are allergic to dust or dust mites, but it is really there poo poo) i get hay fever all the time. i get a nose bleed all the time. losing pint loads of blood in a year. (usually a hand full of blood every 3 days in warm weather, or in high altitude) i get sneezing fits from anti persperant and perfume. some smells make me bleedfrom my nose. infact im bleeding now, in college, the girls dig it.
so ur a bunch of noobs as far as i am concerned.
my little brother, when he eats dairy products he builds up gas in his stomach. he farts it all away!
any type of shampoo or scented soap gives me rashes.
my older brother (Purple Monkey) gets rashes from the detergent in washing machines.
my dad, gets ill if he works too hard, and then sleeps for 24 hours and is ok again.
i hope i showed u all that u are nooblars when it comes to allergies.

Same here. I also react badly to vodka. A shot is enough to take me from sober to vomiting badly in no time.

Originally by: Diobanemon Gluk Our local beer - Dorada/Tropical for those desperate to know, has had a change recently in taste.
The last three nights I've had a bottle or 3 and came back home to streaming eyes, runny nose and eyes busting out their sockets, it looks so bad I should be in Extreme Animal Hospital with Rolf doing the surgery!
Anyway it appears I don't get on with the new yeast in the beer and here's me thinking it was simply hayfever but ohhhhhh noooooooo can't be that.
So yeah please someone tell me they're allergic to sweets, sex or chocolate.
Are you sure that's not just the alcohol knocking out you antihistamines?
I'm allergic to 'house dust' and if I start boozing round the house or a dusty pub, the antihistamines stop working within 10-20 minutes.
If you were allergic to beer I would have thought you would start puking / die of something swelling up.

Edited by: Diobanemon Gluk on 03/05/2005 13:37:50 It would appear that initial reports were somewhat false, the only other thing we'd done was actually clean the house and I know I'm allergic to dust.
However, my main allergy since a little kid was pollen, I had really bad hayfever, which we eventually believe we tracked down to tree pollen. Now I currently live where the only trees near are palm trees, yet I've come down with one of the worst summers of my life.
Initially the only thing I'd done apart from clean was have a few beers for 3 nights and suffered all 3 nights, but it's continued and managed to get worse since.
Given that it's spring/summer I can only assume I'm finding new pollen that's really affected me, either that or it's a natural defence against sitting up to x o'clock in the morning attempting to get that navy raven
Ahh yeah, I forgot I'm not taking any anti-histamines.

Originally by: Karl Borhman My wife is allergic to latex, oddly enough bananas, and most household pets.
We've been told a lot of people with latex allergies should stay away from bananas because of a potential side effect that can be fatal if you aren't aware you have the allergy.
Although its rare (seems to occur only to asthmatics with latex allergies) if readers of this post know any asthmatics it would be a good idea to warn them of the potential danger.
Death by banana would be one hell of a way to go.
If they're alergic to latex as well...begs the question - wtf were they doing with the banana?

Edited by: Skogen Gump on 03/05/2005 16:37:50 Detergents have a nasty habit of leaving me blotchy and itchy for hours.
Conveniently, I can't do the washing up as prolonged contact with washingup liquid leaves me in scratching agony, and I have huge hands so they don't sell marigolds in my size :)

I'm allergic to anchovies which is aparently in a lot of barbeque sauces. The sauce we normally use doesn't bother me too much but I've always had trouble eating steak. Didn't put it together until we used a new sauce and I stopped breathing.
Luckily I can still eat bbq I just have to pay attention to the sauce and stuff, unless I want my throat to close.

Some of these allergies sound terrible,
Mine are penicllian, the perfume is some Lynx shower gels & cats, but for a while my doctor thought I might be allergic to milk & eggs as well so none of those for me for 2 years. I had to avoid all dairy, and all their derivatives (included several E numbers). You'd be suprised what all has milk/egg in it!
Thank God they finally decided I'm fine
