Haulers Channel is great, for new haulers getting into it, or old haulers wanting some company.
Just keep an eye out for gank contracts, but most of the time one of the experienced haulers will point them out to you. |

I would like to add my own appreciation for the Haulers Channel. As a fledgling hauler the contracts I've seen offered are out of my reach at the moment, but the educational value of the channel is fantastic. A great community who are always willing to answer questions and offer advice to both haulers and contractors. Thank you to everyone involved. |

Since the August 9th release, courier contracts can now contain up to 1,200,000 m^3 of items. But only a max-skilled Charon can carry 1,200,000 m^3 of goods!
If you need to make a large-volume contract, but want to be sure that as many freighter pilots as possible can pick it up, its worth keeping the volume a little below that limit.
If you keep the contract below 1,081,935 m^3 then any freighter pilot with their racial skill trained to IV can pick it up, or if its below 1,127,015 m^3 then any freighter pilot with their skill trained to V can pick up the contract.

I've palyed Eve for almost 9 years now and never really thought of hauling as a career choice for a character in-game until I came across this group. Managed to turn a just over a billion isk profit in 10 days of hauling (spent quite a few hours doing it each day! Won't be as active in future!)
Profit? Repaid the 1.4Bil I covered the initial price paid for the Charon, the 200mil I paid for the DST and repaid the advance I took from another character to give my hauler isk for collateral. At end, 1.2 Bil up on 10 days earlier and the beginnings of a good reputation for delivering contracts quickly. How had I missed this before??
Great group, good advice from the 'old sweats' for a hauling noob and some nice intel on where gankers are operating.

For players thinking of trying hauling...
Do yourself a favor, train into T2 haulers, and give this channel a try. Sure, you won't be making billions a day (unless you catch a sweet contract or you do nothing but haul for hours on end), but this is a great group to get your feet wet and see if you even like hauling.
