What are you people thinking? You have completely screwed up mining at the very least? How can you let such a poorly thought out fix to remain and waste hours and hours of gaming time! Please fix it so it doesn't take 15 minutes to jettison cargo! Why is this taking so long?????

I believe the "fix" was introduced to stop pc pirates from deliberately causing lag at gates by jettisoning rounds of ammo at gates. However, I do agree that the "fix" has caused more problems. If it worked right and simply was five minutes or so after your last jettison it would allow you to jettison then it wouldn't be a problem as you can simply drag from your open cargo container to an existing can. However, I have noticed that if you don't immediately take the opportunity (when the timer has run it's course) it appears to restart the countdown and then you have to wait another 6 minutes. Which is way too long if an indy has accidently removed all your ore from an existing cargo can- to wait 6 minutes before you can mine again is not playable.

The 5 minute countdown is perpetual - it constantly countsdown from 5 minutes to zero and moves back to 5 minutes rehardless of when you last attempted a jettison.

A better fix would be to give each ship a number of cargo containers based on it's size. i.e. a cruiser would have three containers. While out in space it can jettison only three. When it docks, the 3 limit is reset.
This probably isn't a perfect solution, but it is a lot better than the timer idea.

I think this is a good enough fix for now, maybe the 'container¦s per ship' solution might be better but our team is having no difficulties mining whole belts, so to u guys that are complaining all the time, just work around this limit....its very easy.

I think it works perfectly. You just have to use your brain to figure it out.

Because my brain comes hardwired with a clock that knows EXCATLY when the server is going to allow me to jettison one piece of cargo.
Yeah. Way to go ace! You can insult people! Congratulations!
Now... here is 500 isk... go get a brain upgrade.
The system needs tweaking, thats all. And it needs to be fixed.

THis solution has caused a lot more grief for those involved in mining operations. Please fix it or change it completely.

The 5-Minute rule would work if it applied on a per-person basis. Instead, it applies to everyone within 100-km which makes no sense both in terms of gameplay and in terms of realism.
Unless, of course, there's a huge mysterious cargo container monitoring guild that are Elders of Zion wannabes... __________________

The one cargo per person would only be a good solution if the cargo container itself refreshed for everyone and not just the person who created it, and if it didn't have the time frame of 45 mins to 1 hour until it popped. As it works now, the indy in a corp mining event has a really hard time to haul the ore as he/she/it can't see the entire cargo unless he/she/it relogs every time when it is time to ferry.
Otherwise a system och letting someone have 2-4 containers in each system or something would be a better choice.
And skipping the time or at least making it so that it starts after you have jetted the first container in the system, counting down to 0, staying there until you jet another and so on(my vote would still be on a max amount of 3 containers per system, and a time frame on the tainers before they pop, and either an automatic refresh or the option to refresh for someone who is in the same corp or group as the miner who made the can).

I fixed this on Saturday morning and the fix will be out in the next patch.

the sooner the better as mining has become even more tedious and boring than it was before.
Glad to see CCP have acted quickly though , top marks there at least :) Also i though maybe a good idea is to charge money for each container you drop into space (like a space rubbish charge or something) This charge could start small (100 isk) for first pod and mutliply upwards becoming like 50000ISK for ten pods or something (youd have to do the maths i suck at it) after all which single person needs more than 5 pods in space ever anyway.

HA HA HA - thats what happens when you all moan at an exploit that never existed in the first place. I hope it takes the DEVS weeks to fix it properly, poetic justice for m0o

Never exhisted? HA, your a fool if you even THINK we'd believe a m0o.
The GM's saw m0o doing it, unbeknownst to m0o, and reported to the devs to fix the exploit.
If m0o hadn't been playing stupid, the nerf they got wouldn't have happened.
And it is annoying to have to wait and QUICKLY jettison a can right after the timer hits 0, if you don't, another 6 mins of waiting. Shoot, you can get to an in system base and back before then :(
