Edited by: Flaloch on 13/09/2003 13:39:08 Edited by: Flaloch on 06/08/2003 01:22:03 Hey all,
I don't have a big, long, impressive speech. In fact, I'm going to tell you that if you are interested in buzz words such as "maximizing" or "divisions" then our corp is not for you.
My buzz words are "fun", and "relaxing".
We are a corp who's youngest member is me (31), and oldest is 59 ! We do have a probation period (7 days), and have set up a system whereby you earn your own ships and whatnot. Each member is expected to turn in an amount of ore or minerals, which is converted to chours (or corp hours - our own little money system). You use these chours to purchase your ships that we make (every minmatar ship up to, and including the Typhoon battleship). Not a minmatar ? No problem, we are part of the Stain Alliance. All Alliance members help each other to get the ship of their dreams. Every amount of ore can be turned in to our officers or ceo, who have high refining skills, and cross-referenced with the ore chart we have created. This will produce your "Chours". The amount is very low -7 hours per week- which i can generally do in about an hour or two of real time. Anyone who is new to the game is given a probe and whatever equipment they need to start up. Training is paid for by the corp :)
Our members are very friendly, and we encourage the use of "teamspeak", an application whereby we communicate using mics.
If you are intersted in doing whatever you want every day, or if you don't play all that much, please come by Illuin to fill out an application.
Old Farts, where we always smile a toothless smile :)
Regards, Flaloch

Hi Flaloch Can you tell me what timezone your members mainly operate in? As I am considering leaving my current corp due to dwindling numbers and the problem of people not being online during the same periods. Leave me a message here or give me a shout ingame. PS. I am in the UK. |

Yikes, sorry to be so late with my reply Vy ! Our members operate in lots of time zones, we have players in USA, Canada, Italy, UK.
Hope I'm not too late :P "The people expected it of me and I had got to do it; I could feel their two thousand wills pressing me forward, irresistibly. " - Orwell |

Edited by: Derkan on 08/08/2003 03:32:54 Edited by: Derkan on 08/08/2003 03:28:18 Best speech I've heard all month. No empty promise's from a 15 year old child. I'm impressed. If I wasn't in a corp already I would join myself. Old farts seem to where its at. If I decide to ever leave my corperation I'll give you guys a ring. Just one question for ya how many active members does old farts have?
Derkan.

I agree with Derkan. Old farts seem to know whats going on. Stain is a good group of people to be around. Atleast the corperations are well protected. Thats important.

Wow, thanks for all your kind words !
We have had an unbelievable response to this ad in the last couple weeks. It's unfortunate that we have to bring our recruiting to a close at the present time.
We have made many new friends, and don't want to grow too fast. Our fearless leader is already over-worked/under-paid hehe.
Thanks again all :)

I'm sure they'll let one or two more in. Old farts the corporation seems to grow at a steady pace. Only a few members are let in at a time. But I would go apply anyways.

General information about Old Farts can be found at that address. It is accessable from the ingame browser, of course.
Recruiting is open once again, but we are being selective.

If you are interested in applying to the Old Farts, please do. We do interviews at least every other day, and have a dispersed population of pilots from many geographic regions.
Oh, one other thing, just because you consume alchohol does not mean you are a shoe-in for our D.O.F. Division. That requires years of practice, usually resulting in death by liver failure. (D.O.F. = Drunken Old Farts)
If you wish to ask questions about the Corporation before actually submitting a official application, please evemail:Adela. She will be happy to fill you in as best she can.

I know pretty much squat about this game but I like online-gaming with fun, cooperative, witty people and I think I have enough grey hair to fall into the "old fart" category. Let me know how/when/where to formerly make a request in-game.
Thanks!

Does anyone know of a similar corp of mature players that specializes in Caldari ships/equipment?
Hmmm... I seem to be logged on as my Minmatar alternate, one that I am not currently playing.

Anyway Old Farts don't die, they just hang around and become unpleasant.
