I haven't gotten this mission, but a friend of mine has gotten it several times (level 3). I've gone along to help a couple of times and the same issue has come up every time. The bonus stage requires an angel palladium tag, but that tag never drops in the mission. The only way we were able to get through it last night was to have bought a tag to carry along. Does anyone else have this problem? IS it a problem, or is it to create a market for angel tags?

I've tried this mission a lot of times, and I don't think the requirement is a bug. Been there allways (since it showed up atleast :) ). But it would sure be nice if atleast one of the ships/buildings would drop the tag. My question is then, if you have to warp out, will you be in need of yet another tag?

i got 60+ angel palladium tags 90k angel cruisers drop them.

i think its required, if you have a buddy tag along on mission..
he did a lvl 3 one, he in ferox, and i in raven... few days later, he gets it again, except i wasnt there, and he was able to enter the bonus stage

It's not a bug.
The tag might not drop on the mission and therefor you are required to bring it along with you. Yes, getting it somewhere else, after all it's a "bonus-stage".

If your doing the lvl3 version... save your tag the bonus stage is totally not worth it. 
Did it with a m8 and we were all excited... "whoo! We gonna see some great stuff, have the fight of our lives"
NOT! One 500k BS a score of cruisers (like 2-3 100-110k ones a couple of 90k ones) and some frigs... We finished it in Cruisers (he in a cyclone me in a cerberus) so yeah maybe you can chalk it up to the ships... but we were disappointed. (now saving tags for the lvl4 version, and no will not be doing that one in cruisers)

Lvl4 Angel don't need any tags. But its about 5000x harder than the lvl3 bonus.
I finished tonight with my friend using his megathron as a pure support ship on my raven.
Here is what I encounted tonight as it seems to change every time I do the bonus.
1x 2.75m BS
3x 2m BS
2x 750k BS
15x 140k cruiser
6x 120k Cruiser
4x 90k Cruiser
10x 30k Elite frigate
10x 20k Elite frigate
5x 17.5k Frigate
6x Tower Sentry III
4x Tower Sentry II
4x Torpedo Battery
4x Cruise Missle Battery
4x Heavy Missle Battery
Upon warpin, All sentries attack the first person in.
Then if you attack the sentries the entire fleet comes at you and will destroy your ship if your not propery tanked to the gills.
This setup seemed to work for me :)
Raven:
HI-6x Arb Sieges, (Any seige might work) 1 Medium Diminishing Nos (8th slot open for whatever you want)
MED- 1 %55 EM, 1 %55 Kinetic, 1 %55 thermal, 1 %55 Explosive
Sheild Hardener, 1 DG Sheild Boost amp, 1 XL Shield Booster II
LOW
4x Power Diag II
1x CN Control (Any control will work)
Support Megathron:
Hi- 3x Large "Assymetric" Energy transfer array
3x Medium p5b Parital shield transfer arrays
2x Heavy Diminishing nos
Med - 4x Cap charger IIs
Low - 7x Cap relays (named ones to save cpu)
You can run the energy nonstop as support, which lets you run the xl booster II with amp nonstop at %100 cap
If extra shields is needed, you transfer shileds while nossing npcs with both ships.
NOTE * KILL ALL FRIGS FIRST AT BONUS

OMG you are so right, yes they do seem to change each time as I did it the other day and found it ok (not simple) tried it again on Monday and lost my ship and every thing that hade DG on it 3 arbys a Heavy dimishing and a PDU 2.
So if you do manage to complete this one day DO NOT get your confidence up as it could bite you in the ass.
Also the LV4 did not seem to give me any realy good loot, is this the norm? or does the level of how hard it is decide how good the loot is?
