An alliance is not dead until it¦s officially posted from any high command representative. Do i see such a statement yet? Answer = No. It¦s always fun to listen to rumors, but there is more to it than that.

Before we went down there, they had 4100 almost 4200 members. They where far out the largest alliance. So people who keep denieing have to look at this:
XF consists of 36 member corporations, 2088 pilots reside under its sovereignty.

I dont think anyone war dec'd then. Even so, as the famoust chatlog said, if 0.0 falls then Xetic will fall. For their daily things they will need 0.0 access. Being a refugee is not an option.

This is just the Domino effect in some respects. The leaving of CLS and DDC to persue thier own objectives caused panic amongst some of the XF corporations and they has left in light of the other bigger corps actions. Amongst many others it has triggered a stronger will to survive and prosper in the face of strong and powerful adversity. We currently have pressure from many highly skilled PvP corps who want our down fall and our space..... well for now we will hold strong and try and hold back the relentless tide with the skills we have.
Maybe we will fall into the shadows but it will not be silently and it will not be without a fight.

I find that last sentence somewhat ironic. DDC and CLS left, and if my memory serves me right, those where the only ones fighting on a more then monthly basis (almost daily you can say!). So if you ask me, when DDC and CLS left, most corps saw they will have no defence anymore.
But that is just something a opponent pilot observed... I might be wrong as much as i might be right. Who knows.

Maybe they were the corps that showed the largest and most active participation in defence. But CLS being a 600 member corp should have a large showing on any engagement and with so many members they are the name you remember. DDC a devoted and IMO a good PvP corp again should be high profile. This will give other XF members a chance to shine and show we were not run by these 2 powerful corps and we can prevail without them along side us. I am not about to propose doom and gloom for an alliance that has lasted many major wars and continiued to grow. No matter what has been said in the past and no matter what is said now there will be loyal and devoted members of XF who will fight until the last station is gone from our hands.
It is easy to turn your back and look for safety and self preservation but sometimes you need to stand up and be counted....I just hope the rest of XF that remain hold some of these ideals.
There is no shame in defeat to a stronger oponent but there is shame in cowardice. Even if we do not come out of this with anything more than pride I myself will have been proud to be part of a great allinace.

Combined CLS and DDC make up over 700 people of those 2000 that left. Add to that several other former XF joining ASCN (CLS & DDC's new alliance) and it's obvious that of the 2000 roughly half joined the new alliance and the others left.
We wish XETIC all the best. We just didn't feel like we belonged there anymore.

XETIC IS NOT DEAD!!!
Lastnight, 3 XF bestowers, escorted by 1 merlin and 2 vigils, absolutely owned a Shinra fleet in Immensea. They scored 21 confirmed BS kills, and made the entire enemy fleet safespot in the Immensea region.
The infidels have been thwarted! There are no enemies in XF space. XF has never been stronger than it is right now. The FAT has been REMOVED! Our enemies cower in our presence!

We that are in XF are doing ok. Yes cls and friends have left to fourm there own alliance. There have also been several other corps that have left and joined a northern alliance. Several other corps have stated that they have a fair amount of inactive players and have left as well.
The members that are left are strong members and we will survive. There are quite a few of us that are excited about our new opportunity to continue to be XF and show others that we mean it.

that was too far to be funny
... with allliances like xetic, where 0.0 is sparse in npc stations and they rely heavy on their conquerables ... they are very much killable... added to the shock factor etc
reason pa never died was because they were tough and could live it out in empire and in their npc stations (although that would be harder since formal alliance creation)
stay tuned... it could get interesting, or so says prophet parm ------------------

The departure of CLS and DDC defenetly has been a shock to many of us and has sent ripples through the remaining alliance corps... some joined CLS and DDC and some left 0.0 to live in empire...
Being completely dependant on conquerable stations is hard as you basically can lose your home at any point should a stronger force decide to invade you. This hampers your supply lines among other things. I think this situation will show which corps are serious about a 0.0 operation and which ones are not. It will be a while before the 'new' XF will have their ducks in a row and it most likely will get worse first before it will get better, but I'm pretty sure that people will step up and fight for what they believe in.
One thing that XF always had a problem with is that many of our players have been in the game for a very long time and hence are not playing as often anymore as they did earlier... I know that's true for myself... I used to spend at least 6 hours each day online with weekends being more like 12 hours... now I hardly ever am online for more than 2 hours per day... I know a lot of people in my corp face the same problem... some left to play other games, some just don't play quite as much anymore as they used to... compared to a fairly young crowd (3-6 month) which is usually willing to put in quite a few more hours...
Anyways... I'm sure after some reorganizing, we will be back and I look forward to some good fights...
Your 280mm 'Scout' Artillery I perfectly strikes Sansha's Scavenger, wrecking for 264.3 damage.

That isn't the case (at least not in Immensea). Many of the corps leaving XF are pvp corps fed up of XF in one way or another. XF is far from the most pvp friendly alliance. My corp found it to be more trouble than it was worth to be in XF, so we left. To be fair though I guess a lot of the leaving corps are miners fed up of getting shot at . As for Xetic being better off? I kinda doubt an alliance losing a large number of its pvp corps can be a good thing
