I currently fly a tengu for level 4 missions and i am not sure if i should change the current layout to a HAM instead of HML.

I try to do caldari missions as i get mostly guristas and serpentis rats. So umokka is always good but i do get the odd blood raiders mission but it holds up well against em. |

Bad rigs. Cap stability isn't useful, especially with that pimped a fit. Use some dps/range-related rigs if fitting allows it, then fill the rest with shield rigs or leave a t2 ccc on if you're lazy. What system do you do missions out of other than Umokka? |

personal opinion:
- putting all this stuff on tengu is asking for trouble, especially A-type modules
and officer modules; imo sell them and buy well... something :), anything really
wh tengu(s), pvp tengu(s), exploration tengu(s), alts, something... everything is better
then getting blown up in high sec by some overzealous ganker
as for fit:
- you don't need nearly as much tank
- use t2 launchers and furies; sure, faction might give you better damage against frigs, but
rigors will take care for that
cookie cutter tengu mission fit:
lows:
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System x 4
meds:
invulnerability field II x 2
em field II
afterburner (II or federation or something)
Pithi-A small shield booster
[something]: more tank if you are paranoid or web or painter for frigs
highs:
tech 2 HM launcher, scourge fury missiles
rigs:
2 x rigor catalist II
1 x CCC I
more on fit:
- it is what I consider expensive tengu fit, no point in putting anything else on it really,
- most of it works fine with t2 instead of faction, but you will need booster for
it to work (alternative is medium booster, but then your cap will suffer unless
you dedicate more rigs to it; will still work with non CCC rigs, but you won't be able to sleep during missions)
- free mid is really usable for anything; personally I prefer web for elite frigs, it makes huge difference,
but painter also works well. You don't really need any more tank. If you fit mission specific hardeners
(i don't mainly due to laziness), you can free additional mid for even more frig pwnage
as for HAM fit:
- replace HMs with HAMs (obviously)
- rigging is main problem - you have to fit either for range or for damage application, both is good:
- if fit for range, you will own battleships, but will suffer with frig killing
- if you fit for damage, your dps against battleships won't really be worthy time lost on flying around
unless missions are close ranged, but you will kill frigs quite well
-> personally not sure on ideal choice
- in either case, don't rig it for cap
