Question2

I would like to express my opinion that i feel that this addition was a very bad move, and was certaintly not needed.
One of the few things everyone in eve can really agree about is that travelling in a slow, tanked BC or BS is really not fun.Not when 50% or so of the time you decide to do a level 3 or 4 mission, you have to spend a large portion of your time zoning out at the comp waiting for the ship to reach the stargate to actually get into the system where the encounter is.
A lot of people hate this.Previously they could get on for a few hours,do a couple missions a day, earn some ISK,have a bit of fun,and thats it.Now they get this : 1 or 2 jumps added to a very large portion of their missions. This is certaintly killing the fun factor.
There never was a problem with the missions occuring in the system in the first place.IMHO,the best thing would be all missions occur in the same system. It never created ungodly amounts of ISK available, nor loot, and there was never a need to slow down the amount of missions you can do by adding jumps to them.
To make matters worse, the rewards do not take into effect the jumps involved.A mission that takes place 2 jumps away(4 jumps round trip) gives pretty much the same rewards as the exact same mission that starts in the same system.Golden ratio anyone?

I agree that placing the mission location outside the agent system is an enormous time sink and very irritating for the player. I don't see any reason why it should be placed away from the station where the agent sits.. it doesn't challenge the player in any way, it just shows no respect for a player's time.

Insta's 4tw !
When i'm running agent missions, i'm having bm's of the whole systems and neighbouring systems. You'll defo gain time and time is money when running agents...
P.S. Hint to Niyabainen Agent runners: The missions allways take place in the middle of the system, and IX-19 is on the outer ring - You can actually use you Jita -> Station instadock everytime, and gain time!
It's not too bad :))

It's an excellent addition, as it;
a) Lowers the isk-per-hour of the already laughably high level 4 mission,
b) Lowers lag in systems containing lots of agents, because agent who-- er, runners spend more time spread out in neighbouring systems. ---------------- Haha, stupid monkey! Now I'VE got the Oscar! Enjoy your worthless gun! |

c) adds more risk to you dying due to pirates in 0.4 and below which is why the higher ql lvl agents are there ---------------

I live in a 0.3 system. The adjacent systems are all low sec space as well.I have yet to actually get attacked by a pirate.Pirates are non-issue.
The extra 1 jump is the issue.
Think about it.Oh sure 1 jump on paper sounds reallly really small.
Think about 2 jumps,30 km travelling to gates in total, including time to get up to warp speed and warping time.
In a slow ship that does what...200-400 M/S with afterburner max?
Now factor in that this isnt 1 jump for a rare mission(pre-patch,mordus was a rare mission that always had one jump, but since it was only 1 mission,it wasnt too bad). Its very common.I estimate it to be around 50% really.
This dramatically screws golden ratio up.
Also note that if CCP wanted to reduce ISK potential of level 4 missions(which they have so far not said they were going to do in LOW SEC SPACE.....indeed they increased it in low sec space),they would only add 1 jump to level 4s in high sec.As it is all levels are affected and in low sec as well.

Edited by: Activor Faust on 05/05/2005 14:02:50 Yeah. You need to stop complaining about stuff like this... Does one jump really matter. It reduces load on congested nodes and can be countered with 30 minutes making instas.
