Edited by: JarmenKell on 04/05/2005 19:27:21 all ready mentioned by me before.
but i'll keep talking about it.
i would like to know how would you like the skill to work.
to be an advanced learning for the previous learning skill is a good possibility, but other ways are also availible.
my wish of 50% training decrease to all the skills could become true if the 12th skill will able you to train 2 skills at a time

oh and its not about being sp w****. thise will help every one at the same time. so its just to stop eve from being a really slow game. cause once you move on to rank 8 and 12 things get ugly( pause to punch the table). anyways
CCP help noobs
give new charachters 50% faster training time for the first 1msp. or doubled attrbuttes for the first month, than they can either invest it on learning skills or the things that matter.

Get a bunch of implants.
But training times shouldn't be changed to help noobs, it'd be unfair on those that have played the game for the long run.

What's with this wave of people wanting the noobs to catch up to the people who have worked for 2 years to get their uber skilled characters?
Seriously, **** off. If other players had to take time getting to where they are, you sure as hell can too.

f*** it, you guys dont understand that the mroe we play the harder new players will decide not to stay.
and regma yoiu miss the point i do have a full set of 3, and getting +5 isnt that much of a difference, but for all eve players a reduced skill time training buy 5% will make a huge difference or simply jsut make sure new skills wont be rank 12.

Yeeeah, because you see direct competition between 22m SPers and the 500k SPers all the time, don't you?
Come on, how many new players go straight out to take on 0.0 alliance corps? It's not as if the noobs can't do anything due to their noobishness. They're just forced to learn the game properly before they get the plethora of SP that older players have - and those older players had to go through the same process too.
Giving new players a "speed up" with skill points is grossly unfair on every other player who doesn't get that speed-up. End of, really.

Why should new players get a faster training rate? why didn't the vets get that when they started?
its the same old argument time and time again, it isn't going to happen as it would p1ss alot of ppl off and cause even more moaning and whining on the forums.

I don't see why there isn't a 12th learning skill, an advanced-learning "Learning". Another 3-4 days of training for L1-4 advanced "Learning", sounds very worthwhile to me. There is supposedly a skill called "Mnemonics", which sounds exactly like the proper name for such a skill, but I heard it is NOT an advanced "Learning", sadly.

thats the main point of this discussion, and to those who are complaining about noobs getting faster training time, you do know that it applys to new characdhters onoly and i only proposed it to be for the first 1 msp or the first month, no more or longer than that.
if you did read it and ur still complaining, i just think ur a banch of wingers, its only a game and it should be fun from the start not 1 year after u subscribe.

What an idea! I have even better one. Let's take skills out of the game completely and make it an pure arcade game. How's that for a newb.
Oh and another point is that newbies should get at least 1 billion isks to start with. That way they wouldn't be so much behind the vets of the game.

I can see this topic coming up endlessly for the next 2 years of the game. You're right it's a game - so start thinking about playing instead of how to change the rules.
The fact is that new players do get faster learning times.
There were no implants available and no advanced learning skills when we started playing 2 years ago.
So for about the first 15m skill points, n00bs are learning them in about 50% less time than 'the vets'.
(or at least the n00bs who are smart enough to stick points into learning and spend money on implants). | Join eve-webring.com to promote your site. |

What you're saying, essentially, is you want the training times for everyone across the board reduced. Don't you see how much of a ridiculous idea that is? We already have methods to reduce the training times.
The training times are that long FOR a reason. Why don't you buy a char with a hundreds of millions of sp (then die, lots), or move on to some other game you can cheat at.
And WTF are you on about that it takes a year to enjoy the game? I've been playing 4-5 months, and have had fun since I started, otherwise I wouldn't be playing the damn game...
Geez

i never ever cheated online. and once again i only said faster training for the first 1msp. i don't get it, why are you flaming like that. just forget about it there is no point talking about it, i know it wont happen was just a sujestion.
forget all about the noobys thing.
but i still think there should be an advanced learning <learning> to complete the original 6, and if you think its a bad idea thats your opinion.
advanced learning 2% bonus per level to all attributes resulting in a overall faster skill training time.
at the beginning 'last summer' i woundered what advantage people who choose to do science would have over others. well it occured to me that it was learning faster cause they can train learning skills faster, but after adv learning not needing intel and memory as the primary and secondary attribute that advantage was lost, so to regain it why not a 12th learning skill that required adv intel and memory at 5. something to put you in flames now, enjoy the debate

Don't Change the training times. Let the noobs take as long as we did with training. This game is not about Quick Quick, you need to invest time in it.

I agree with another guy that posted on here about the use of boosters, i saw an artical the eve people put on the website explaining the story to the use of the different drugs and it specifically said pilots could use it to improve their abilities, i read the whole artical getting more and more eager to find out if you could actually use em... Well you cant and why not!
This would be great if entered into the game something that would increase your abilities... actually as im writing this im thinkin of the possibilities, so i wont waste it on here, if anyone want to have a read of it, it will be in the "ideas" section (forgot the rest of the heading)
