Not all trailers need to focus on large fleet fights, in fact one of the best early EvE trailers was very similar to this one... albeit the effects/graphics have improved dramatically since those days.
I'm not happy about it being a bit on the short side, but thats not a major issue.
To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors.
If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |

The fact that the main character in the trailer didn't have this "I'm pooping/disgusted at everything" look on his face 24/7 makes the trailer watchable...
(side note, am I the only one who fails to see any expression on her face.....in any movie?)

Not sure I can take that from this. I know I personally, if faced with the decision or accurate representation or just making it look cool would always pick the latter. Shiny >>>>>>> Game knowledge (for trailers) any day. |

The trailer does seem to make it seem like a bounty = killrights.
You can also seemingly destroy ships with a single missile.
If you get into big trouble, you can open your own wormholes and escape too.
That might actually be a more fun game.

They could have made it look cool without putting dumb stuff in there like some tycoon putting a titan's worth of bounty on a player for blowing up mining frigates with his black ops battleship instead of sending dudes out to **** the guy's day up.

I loved this one. The sequence with the manti firing up was awesome and I like the "Butterfly Effect" feel it had going on.
Also this video had nothing to do with a cyno or a jump drive. That was clearly a MJD.
Btw anyone else notice that Caldari Steel owned the minmatar station Vic was in?

The ship I was asking about was apparently an Algos (Gallente drone based destroyer), and CCP Fozzie reckons the transition was indeed an MWD jump, with "passage of time" edited out between the MWD jump and the cyno jump. I don't buy it thou.
