I'm returning to Eve Online after an over 6 month break, after reinstalling the game, i have no ship or drone icons. They appear as a black box with a ! in the middle for a moment then change to a solid black box. The only icon that i can see that shows up is a Tengu. I've been searching for a solution to this problem for days with no luck, which is why I'm posting here. I've done all the basic things to try to fix this including, clearing caches, reinstalling the game, using the repair tool, etc. I'm using an older macbook with a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, but i honestly don't think its a hardware issue as this is the same machine i played Eve on in the past. Any help would be great as i would love to be able to play this game again.

It's probably best to file a bug using the in-game bug report tool. You can find it under Help(F12)

I did the same thing, returned after several months, and my older iMac has the same problem. I am running 10.5.8 on it, and I saw something that said CCP no longer supports that OS. I am also unable to do PI or select structures in space by clicking on their shapes. I suspect the graphic problem is related to using 10.5.
Apple re-released 10.6 and I am upgrading to it. It is only $20. |

please let me know if this fixes the problem, I'm having no luck with filing bug reports or petitions. |

UPDATE: also when viewing the 3D version of the ship after clicking the icon, there is a distortion of pink,green, and red colors in the background. Not sure if that could help diagnose the problem or not. |
