I am shocked and appalled at the utter failure this is. A brilliant shining aura, with a bunch of dated love capsules floating around? One word: weak. Logically this makes no sense for there not to be any stations out there researching the gate or something of the sort. I mean this is the key to history and the such and nothing is there. One planet? Who is on that planet? CCP has failed to fill in the gaps, I don't care if barely anyone goes there, have a complete game here in atleast some regards. Can someone confirm rumors of there being more to find with scan probes? I mean there shouldn't be. I'm just so ever disappointed...the origin of everything the whole basis of this game is nothing really except a glorified sun... Impossible is nothing. |

Javane, back in the day the graphic was huge.
It's getting smaller and smaller because the fabric of space is stabilizing in the region, is my guess. That means we're never getting back through, basically.
I foresee the devs using that "stability" as a plot element, though. I bet Earth has changed over the last estimated century and a half, and if the gate on the other end reopens the hole we may have visitors. "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |

Considering the collapse of the Eve gate left the entire human race without technology, causing massive destruction et all, makes me wonder how there could even be a planet left in the system.

Jovians supposly didn't fall to far behind. Which is why they are so uber. You could expect earth to be full of jovian tech or a dead crust of a planet. Of course, I'd like to point out that is has been well longer then century and half since the gate collasped. Concord alone is a Century old and it is considered new.

Well, considering it occured many thousands of years ago, the humans on this side lost most of their technology and history, becoming more concentrated on survival than the facts of the gate, that when it was discovered, there was a massive maelstrom that had consumed the gate, destroying anything that approaches, you think it is easy to get info on it? -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

did'nt it collapse liek 20,000 years ago? there is tiem lines for races that go back that far so its around 20000 years give or take some in that time races have came and fallen and I think there is many more races than what we currently know about.

New Eden (I think)
Anyway I would like to see two things: 1. Put the gate in the system itself so you can actually fly to it--and maybe take light damage as you sit there, but make a totally awesome graphic to look at--make those Maya dudes proud again
2. Event, or something, where some Earth ships show up, or vice versa. I could see a situation where like 10 BS work together with remote reps and such to push one back in the gate...maybe devs could pop out a solar system real quick for the other side maybe? _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |

1. There are not two stations in the system unless they are hidden. 2. There is a planet there and storyline and physics wise that is retarded. 3. If love message and 'I've been here' capsules can survive, research stations should to. 4. Corvus I pray that they will make something of it. 5. I was expecting more then a ************^%^&$%^$%#$#%&& media player visualization. More ruins more pieces, if there is a gate leading there, why not a billboard that has some storyline in game? Just the little things. 6. Flying there was kind of fun and pretty though. 7. No one confrimed anything about hidden stuff with probes. Impossible is nothing. |

There are actually a couple of 'stations' there but not the dockable type, just hidden objects to go and look at. (a lot of the 'i was here' cans are clustered around them, including mine ) _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |

I dont think eve is ever going to get a plot element.
I used to have a nice sig but it keeps getting removed by somone with no explanation. Typical isnt it. |

Well, considering there is only one planet there and no sun, it would be safe to assume that the massive explosion that occured and more than likely destroyed entire PLANETS, would vaporize any smaller wreckage in the area. Not everything has to be explained in order to add to the mystery and excitement. If CCP suddenly decided to explain everything, for a short time we would be amazed, then indifferent, then bored as mystery was removed from the game.
There are two abandoned stations in the system, you just have to look for them on scanner. It is harder to reach them now as dual MWDs have been removed. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

From the timeline: 8061 AD - Eve gate closes 23236 AD - Eve Standard Time Established. (recent)
It has been WAY more than a century and a half. A little over 15,000 years actually. I'd be scared to see what has become of Earth in that kind of timeframe. (Keep in mind the Jove have been through THREE major civilizations, and the current one is the LEAST successful)

Yeah this guy is right, a sun is still there so life should be able to be sustained, and in the time frame some form of life should have happened and nothing is there to research or pay attention to it. Balls I quit stupid thing was such a disappointment.

Note that these are VERY old pics, and that the location shown was VERY hard to get to with multiple mwds, id very much doubt that you could still get to it if probes dont see it, if i remember correctly its about 25au between anything and nothing.

Only if it's a research station within 150 kilometers of the stargate. There is a point, you realize, that the EVE Gate's distortions stop having an effect on the world. I'm willing to wager that that gas giant was somewhere around the outer rim of what once was the Eve Gate system.

Your ignorance is showing. The star in the EVE Gate system is a dwarf. That's not really a life-sustaining star.

Was there some weeks ago, we brought scan probes, all we found was a bunch of cans (actually houndreds of them), and a badger floating in space (probably used to carry a lot of those cans.
Those old stations since before isn't there anylonger. At least they wasn't there when I warped to the bookmarks I had on them since before.
SOE (sisters of eve), got some storyline regarding a rebuild project of the gate to earth afaik.
