since last patch, if you do any missions.
They will drop to
(LEVEL of AGENT) * 2
if you have higher values ...
SECURITY STANDING WILL DROP FACTION STANDING WILL DROP CORP STANDING WILL DROP
to that ...
PLEASE CORRECT THIS DEVS ...
THX
So don't do any missions at the moment if you have higher values ... you will drop

I (and most likely everyone else) considered this to mean "No gains beyond 2x the agent level."
Reset of faction is (or at least should be considered) a massive bug.
One of the aspects of the agent system is that after running agent missions for a corp, they are supposed to refer you to lower-level agents in other corps.
Why would anyone want to run missions for another corp if it resets the faction gained from all their hard work? e.g. I have a L3 agent, but I also run missions for L1 agents in order to obtain geographical diversity. I have no problem with not gaining any standing from those L1 agents, but if I'm going to lose all the standing I gained by running missions for my L3 agent - HELL NO.
In short: DO NOT run agent missions until this code is fixed. Because it is currently NOT working as intended. (If it is, the dev who thinks this is the way it should work should be shot.)

"SECURITY RATING" is NOT affected by this bug. Only faction/corporation standing is FUBAR.
How do I know? Because my security rating went up by 0.1 from killing so many Angel pirates but my faction/corp standing is either going up or down, depending on my racial affinity (going up for Minmatar but going down for Amarr and Ammatar), from doing missions for level 3 agent.
Faction/corp standing should not be reset to a lower value when you do a lower level agent mission. That is definitely a bug. |

This is a BUG.
This needs to at least be addressed by the Devs (and 3 days after patch is already indicative of poor customer service considering the impact.)
It needs to be posted as "NEWS" in login patch so ppl who don't read these boards are not screwed.
Devs, if you can't fix this now (Papa vacation) tell us that and tell us an estimate of intent.
Or are you, CCP, that incompetent in customer relations? (* note: that is sarcasm, I believe you ARE that incompetent in customer relations)

seeing as some dodgy missions are going on with some agents and there somewhat rewards and benifits dont you think its normal to lose ratings not with all though only the ones that are dodgy selling slaves on the side ,this must be against the law

If that were the case, you'd get -something per mission, NOT a faction reset. And you wouldn't be getting faction penalties from missions that should be increasing your faction.
A complete faction reset is a bug, period.

So if you don't believe ME that also SEC standing dropped.
TRY A MISSION FOR AN CONCORD AGENT .... and have fun :-)
And yes for people who are not able to know what it means that Values drop to (Agent Level) * 2 if higher, go back to basic school ...
Have fun

I noticed that my negitive rating went up all my ratings are between -2 and +2 I killed so many convoys in Gal space my rating was -5 or somthing I did some missions for my amarr agent and my rating is back up( to -2 ).
Is that what this bug does?

Yup.
Note the extreme exploit that resetting of negative ratings entails... All m0o has to do is blast some people, then run a single L1 agent mission to reset their standing to -2.0. Rinse and repeat.
Congratulations CCP, you've just brought pirates back into empire space. While I think pirates should be able to operate in empire space with extreme danger, I don't believe this is the correct way to allow such behavior. ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |
