Yes yes we all read the article. Im kind of curious to see what the Presidential Canidates have to say on this matter. Anyone else? This could be very important to get the vote...

One thing's for sure, you don't need a very long APB description....
Missing! = Flying BattleMoon with Jumpdrive.
If you see this behemoth, call the Aegis Militia at the number at the bottom of your screen! Pilots are standing by!
I can't help but think that this event would benefit the isolationist policies of Mentas Blaque, but this is merely an outsider's initial view.

I'm rather surprised it didn't jump out. If it has a jumpdrive that is.
Plus, taking that kinda thing over would be difficult. It would have to have a pretty hefty crew. ---

Edited by: Gorion Wassenar on 06/05/2005 20:43:25 Glad to know that the Gallante Federation is able to maintain control of its most valuable assets at a politcaly crucial time. This also is a political black eye to the current president as to his reputation in defense of the Federation. ------------------

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the candidates to make any statement at all. It seems they don't have a voice beyond making their intention to run for presidency.
The President made his statements at 15:00 and it appears that he has declared war on the Sarpati family. I'm not sure if this is legal, but in a time of crisis, it may be within his rights. I guess we'll have to see if the Senate and Supreme Court jump into this.
As for your statement Gorion, couldn't have happened in the State, right? Of course not... -

I don't recall making that claim. Don't put words into my mouth. Besides, this is about how a Gallante Titan was stolen, not a Caldari one. ------------------

Edited by: Malik Delagore on 07/05/2005 00:08:52 I was not trying to put words in your mouth. I was trying to finish the thought process that provoked this rather sarcastic and unprovoked "jab" at the Gallente Federation.

Isn't that puting words in my mouth? And don't blame me, your president is the one to blame for this blemish on the Gallante Federation. I'd seriously reconsider his canidatcy after having a Flagship stolen during his watch. ------------------

Edited by: Ardipithecus Ramidus on 07/05/2005 04:30:32 One more example of the futility with the current CONCORD regime. This was one of six Gallente Titans, correct? Apparently, there were no agents available to track it, apparently CONCORD was unable to track it, and apparently the Federation was unable or unwilling to scramble the five remaining Titans to track it down and destroy it. Instead of this, instead of asking for the help of the other Empires who also own Titans, CONCORD decides to merely place a bounty for pod-pilots to hunt, presumably for its destruction. Was CONCORD the one ultimately responsible for this act? Was it because it fears the strength remaining in the Empires? Is this just a plot to leach the resources of pilots and corporations loyal to the Federation, reduce its Titan force by one and decimate its normal Navy? CONCORD seems to have done everything it could to ensure that no effective forces could be brought to bear. Are there high-ranking CONCORD officials who are coordinating with the Serpents? Was it not Serpentis Prime that Mordu's Legion went out to just before they started their current rounds of assassination attempts on Empire officials? Call me paranoid, but I am seeing a pattern here, of CONCORD pushing the Empires into complete subservience to them, evacuating the most capable pilots out of the area and out of service to the Empires and to the Periphery and its Alliances. We all know CONCORD is a tool of the Jovians, and although I know it is futile, I call for an investigation by Empire (not CONCORD) authorities into "unofficial" connections between Mordu's Legion, Serpentis, ORE, CONCORD and the Jovians. In fact, I suspect that CONCORD may have agreements with all of the major "outlaw" terrorist groups and outlying megacorps, the connection is clearest in this case however.

The Caldari State would probably take your remaining Titans off your hands and place them in safekeeping. Competitive rates, too! I defy you to find a better offer than what we'll offer you for those flying bathtubs you covet so much.

Hmmm, last time a Titan was taken was during the forming of the Khanid Empire. I wonder if the Gallente Federation in in for a similar problem?

Edited by: TIvian on 22/05/2005 13:44:17 I was not there but I did listen to the entire encounter. Few things that I do know.
1. The Titan was heavly damaged. The Titan could have been taken down with little to no effort had the proper fleet been assembled.
2. The Serpentis had turned to one of their best agents to contract out for help. And this particular agent was able to recruit a Pod Pilot from Arcane Technologies. This pilot was able to muster the Five Alliance as an escort for the near crippled Titan. The mission was to make sure that the titan make it to Serpentis Prime at all costs!
3. Numerous times the Serpentis felt that they no longer needed help so the attacked the Five Alliance demanding they with draw, only to ask for help again.
The damaged Titan is going to take billions of isk to repair, if it is salvagable. It should take the Serpentis months to have the Titan operational again.

The jump drive of the Titan (if it was ever fitted with one) must have been damaged too, otherwise it would have been used to escape.
Then again, I know very little of jump drives, their range or the energy needed to use them. I hear it's all very complicated.
As for reponses from the president/presidential candidates, they have been lacking. Not as much as a good press release so far. All in all, I must say that benefits Mentas Blaque. ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."
