Moved from Crime & Punishment to Ships & Modules - Jacques Archambault
Just picked up my new crow and I need to learn a new way of fighting. Im used to flying Ravens which were obviously slow to fly, move etc. Clearly speed is the benefit with my new Crow but what is the best way to attack someone. Am I flying past while attacking, turning and doing the same again or am I orbiting at a distance. Do you keep mwd on all the time. Any help would be cool.
Setup: 3 arbalest rocket and 1 200 mm autocannon T2 mwd warp and drive scram and lows...?
Would I benefit a ballistic on the low? T2 Pdu?
Am I wasting money on high spec stuff as Im gonna lose a few fights to begin with?
The crow has missile advantage, does that also mean that rockets are in this group or should I swap my rocket launchers to missile launchers.
If I sound like a noob in a crow, I am. But any help would be cool.

You really need to be posting this in ships and modules to get more attention.

Get some experience in tech I frigs first. Or you are going to lose ALOT of crows. Also whatever goes for flying a crow today, will change with the soon to come missile change.

Crow is best used for 1 point tackling
MWD, Web, Disrupter (Not Scrambler)
getting under 10km to pretty much anything that can possibly have a web mounted is just silly, but against other frigs, a 15km orbit, spam some missles then dive in for the web and you'll land yourself a gank

Obviously it's your own setup, but I would drop the scrambler, add a disruptor and a small capacitor battery II to be able to sustain it. Also, I would get rid of the rocket launchers, they'll only get you killed most of the time.
As for your lowslots, you will absolutely benefit from a ballistic control in there - 7.5% faster RoF and 7% more damage can be of crucial value. :) I'd also add a micro auxilary power core and a small armor repairer II. With good skills you should be able to fit this and sustain it long enough to win quite a few battles.

Yes. The only truly expensive thing you can take a chance with are faction webifiers, as they make you nearly invulnerable for any other non-assault frigate, and will give you a 99% guaranteed kill.

Come pay me a visit some time in Deklein, we'll do some skirmishing.

It's pretty important to have a web on a crow, or you are going to get dominated by even t1 frigs,, because u wont hit them. __

You will eventually, the trick is just to stay alive long enough.
