Great event and great description and story on what happened JimmySav, and with great screenshots! The northern alliances weren't the only ones trying to exact justice on Salvator Serpati in the name of the Gallenti Federation though. Certain southern alliances and other organizations like FA, FIX, RKK and BNC answered the call to arms as well which deserve recognition which only emphasises the difficulty of [5] and friends' task.

thanks az,
as for the "anti-titans" I wasnt really sure who they were, just that there were a LOT of them, so I'd appreciate someone adding an "anti titan" side of the story to this thread

Nothing.
But I'd say having fun on both sides was worth it.

It would be interesting to see the Gallente response to this, especially as this is effectivly an act of war commited against the federation.

Originally by: Coasterbrian Ya know, I think it'd make sense form an RP point-of-view for the Gallente Federation to set 5ive and MC to -10 for aiding a known criminal. Oh, and the fact that I'd laugh for a week.
And it would also make sense that we would get +10 with serpentis.
And I will most definatly take +10 with serpentis.
That would really rock and would set an excellent precedence for interaction of the NPC's and Player alliances.
For example you'd think Amarr would recognise CVA and set them standings accordingly as would the Minnie government, am sure it would rock their world.
By the introduction of having consequences attached to ones actions against NPC factions a whole new level of depth would be achieved for the game.

One point of consideration - we in the MC do indeed follow what's happening regarding the political landscapes within EVE. We have watched the unfolding Galente elections with a keen interest. However we don't have the time to affect change by collecting vouchers and all that other stuff like a more 'peaceful' organization might be.
When the oppertunity to possibly harm the current president's campaign arose by embarrasing his government's inept security measures arose, we were not the only people who took an interest in this. We were allowed, though force of arms, to affect real change in the galaxy.
We would be curious to know...
What of the current President's opposition in the election? What do the people of the current President think of him now after this catastrophic failure of security?
I'd personally be curious to know what the 'common man' of the Federation might be thinking about thier government at this time, etc...
I assume your real goal is to weaken the Gallente Federation and not necessarily just the current administration. Allowing such a massive power to be brought to the hands of a pirate entity such as the Serpentis threatens the entire Federation and it's neighbors. If this is the kind of change you are seeking, it will come soon.
This catastrophe can be laid squarely on the shoulders on the current executive power and thus the President. The current opposition to the President is obviously in a much stronger position because of this event. Will it be enough to allow a new administration is yet to be seen.
I do not have great standings with the Federation Navy but I know a few that do. Perhaps I can get some information pooled together about the innerworkings of the Federation and how they are dealing with this situation, but so far everything is quiet. Either no one is too worried about the situation or it has become such an issue that no one is allow to talk about it. I prefer to think it is the latter. Note: This is a Personal Editorial and does not reflect my corp. I am speaking as a former Gallente citizen and reside there during my vacations.
