Star Wars Galaxies, what was going on in my walnut sized brain when I bought it, I will never know....
Rats.. Check
Snakes.. Check
Treadmill.. Check
The Feeling You've Played This A Million Times Before.. CHECK!!!!!
I don't want to sound like a fanboy, but this is the reason I play EVE, I can do whatever the hell I feel like, when I feel like it. Thank god there are development houses out there where games aren't designed by an executive board, and creativity is filtered out at the higher levels.

SWG has nothing to do with the S or the G and the only W you'll be doing is against a butterfly which you have to shoot 600 times with a laser, but in the end, he'll STILL Kick your ass.
VERY deep and involving. Ohh my yes. Hey one shot can kill a stormtrooper in the movies, but in the game, 600 are needed for a butterfly.

The only reason why I bought the game is 2 of the devs are acquaintances of mine that work on the network code.

Are you sure it's not 600 shots to hit the butterfly.
If memory servs, those guys had very bad aim. (Im talking "a-team" unload 4 clips and never hit the bad guy aim)

Have you ever tried to hit a butterfly with a rifle? It's not easy...
Shotgun, yeah, that would be more reasonable. :)

I'm lucky I got SW:G as a present.
I played for 2 hours (so that I wouldn't offend my parents) and then logged on to EVE.

Obviously SWG needs a "flamethrower" item. :)

Are there grass snakes? Cause if there I'm gonna go flame my old EQ guild since they said that they would rather hold out for SWG then play EVE. One of the chicks (dont tell her I said that cause she would hit me =p ) who are in my old guild said that she wants to play SWG so she can have Buns in her hair like princes Lela or whatever her name is. BUNS in her HAIR I tell yas!.
But dont worry there is hope, as one of my corp buddies said when people go to SWG and they find out its EQ all over again after the StarWars novalty were's off maybe they might come over to EVE looking for what they missed in SWG...like being able to FLY in SPACE!!! I just hope they get some of the bugs storted out and the content going. It just means that we will have to help them to make sure that they dont get swatted by the "Great EVIL that will crush us all!!!" TM too soon if the content is fired up. =p
I like being insaine, it means I dont have to be rational. =p

SW:G isn't bad at all really.
It takes a little getting used to at first, but it is a faily complex and involved game to play IMHO. You jast have to look at it a little deeper to see all the complexities.
Then again, not every game suits every person.

well after blowing 50 real time days on EQ, I am just not doing it all over again to get the same stupid collection of pixels without any satisfaction of an accomplishment or lamo pvp.
