Ive heard that you need certain skills before the stargate will allow you into the complex.
Does anyone know anything about this and does anyone know of a link to a page that lists all of the complexes?

YES, I travled 59 jumps from pf-346 on test server, and when i got there it said some retarded thing about "you need more know how about leadership to activate this gate.

Yep even with Leadership Skill lvl 4 its not possible to enter the Complex.
What i wonder is if it is the "Leadership" Skill. or if it means you need more Guys in a gang to enter.. wich i think could also been understand as more Leadership(Gangsize).
I know from a other Lvl 10 Complex that Logic lvl 4 is needed. Would be crazy if this complex you are talking of, need higher Skills(lvl5) than the other Lvl 10.
Hmm maybe all lvl 10 complexes got higher requirements. Anyone could Provide infos on that ?

highest guristas is 8/10 atm

I would think one person would need it to activate the gate, and everyone else would have the time to jump through.

Not broken. It takes leadership to bluff this particular gate security AI/guards. Mix of intimidation, diplomacy, persuasion etc. Good, good. Cheap skill too ;)

So you end up having designed a complex, took the trouble to implement it and end up nobody ever flying it, because it's impossible to find a large enough gang where every single person has Leadership trained to 5.

Sounds retarded, frankly. Like the dev building it was stuck in the effort vs reward balancing mode and suffered from a catastrophic lack of common sense. So we ended up with what is frankly a totally inane requirement which adds no entertainment value whatsoever. Just because it fits with some RP scheme or another shouldn't be interpreted as a license to dump in out-of-the-blue obstacles like the skill reqs just for the sake of having them.

Leadership 5 ?
Seems quite fair to me. It's a privilege to have the chance to be killed in it, not a right.
As vegeta said, theses places are worst than Hell. And I hope the majority of them will stay away from the "complexes location list".

Gang leader requiring Leadership 5, well, strange, but sure. Gang leader requiring some wacko science skill at 4 or 5 (as seen with Gurista complexes), weird, but ok.
The WHOLE gang requiring aformentioned cornercase, not too useful skill at 5? Ridiculous. As it is, those 10/10 complexes are a waste of programming time and server load. If I ever meet someone who collected a gang of 15+ battleships piloted by people who ALL had Leadership at 5, I'll let you know. ------------------------------------------------------- "Do you really think that's air you're breathing?" |

I think the requirement on the guristas 8/10 is electronics 4, probably others as well
and with regards to the sansha 10/10 in its current state, its just not even worth doing, since the last structure (station ultima) will just 1 shot kill a bs thats tanked for that damage (tho the dev in question has been tweaking its damage output since afaik), one of the few times we did finish it it dropped an armour hardener, and nothing else worth mentioning (tho the 3 of us alive when the station went down didn't make it to the can alive so we ended up looking at it in pods :P) for the loss of about 15-20 billion isk in ships and modules used
oveurs latest devblog suggests that they will be dropping faction bpcs which probably would make it worthwile in the future

*Anouncement* TSBS has a gang of 15+ with leadership 5. As soon as we knew we had to get it, we all dropped what we were training and started on leadership 5. We are now waiting for another group of 20+ to aid us in the pwnage of the 10/10.

Hehe sansha 1 at least drops decent loot. No basic mods when we did it with 1 of the Devs on the test server.
