For those of you that dont allready know my name is SweatySack. Been a prominent player up North for over a year and been in all the wars, all the forum whoring, and pretty much all the alliances up there. To get to the point quickly I recieved an eve-mail from a GM that someone saw my name as offensive. Now the name SweatySack is kindof gross but I do not find it offensive in any way. I would like to know what you guys think of the name SweatySack(bare in mind I have never recieved a complaint from anyone before this). So is it perfectly fine? Fine but gross? Or offensive in anyway?
I really want to keep my name. Its pretty much all you got in this game.

Perfectly fine. I can't see how anybody short of a 10 year old girl could find it offensive.

Thats just retarted that they changed it on you, just for one complaint and after using it for 18 months.

They probably are going to change it becasue it is sexually offensive. Everyone knows what your name represents and that is probably the main reason behind it.
My suggestion to you is to get past the 13year old adolesence mentality and get a name that won't offend people. Pretty simple.

I agree, if your name wasn't filtered out to begin with what right does CCP have to change the rules all of a sudden?
Give the man back his name, and tell whoevers kid that didn't like it to avert their eyes!

it is indeed a shame that after such a long time your gameplay is being ruined as much as someone may believe theirs to be by seeing one (lets be honest) not that offensive a name (in comparison to some previous, and other posts in general [pre-filter]).

Thats just silly...
To me the name Sweatysack reminds me of my childhood and enjoying time with my father.
Like this one time at a Father son picnic in hoboken my father and I won first place in the sack race... it was a very difficult battle cause Little Jimmy Smith and his Daddy (the ex-marine) were the local favorties.
But my father and I prevailed taking first place that year in the County Fair Sack Race.... that surely was a "sweaty sack" when we got done racing. I still keep i hanging above the fireplace mantle to this day!
Ahhh Good times, thanks for the memories dear old Dad!

Who does the GM think he is,
If they give you a hard time ask for someone on higher rank.
Its pathetic that something like that can happen after a year of playing.
if they have problems with that they should check names if you make one.

Changing a name 18 months into the game just takes the ****. Your name is one of the most important things in eve. Imagine if Darth Solo had his name changed. when people see his name they respect him for who he is.
Let's get this straight, if a girl has to be "rescued" 10 times a week from a brothel shes not a damsel but a prostitute.

My alt had his name changed also, they should have eve-mailed me or E-mailed me about it but they didn't.. now i'm stuck with a sucky name.
And the alt didn't even LEAVE the station. Let alone be online lol...

sweaty my old friend, that is total BS. Atleast if the GMs are gonna ban a name it should be a name that i thought should be banned for along time, and not cause i dont like him. ****take should be a banned named, cause sweatysack has no bad words, but ****take does.
Edit : see even in my post they dont ***** sweatysack but they do to ****take.
So if the DEVs are gonna ban you, i petition the name ****take.

I personally think you've been petitioned by someone you're currently aggressing against and they've done it purely and simply to get one over you. If this is the case, which I think it is, then the GM's should have seen straight though it and refused the initial petition.
I hope the person who initially petitioned about your name is proud of themselves, they are lame and cowardly and don't deserve to play Eve.

Hundreds or even thousands of urgent petitions in the que and they spend their time changing names that aren't even offensive.

If you have issues with GM actions, please use the petition system and ask for a higher ranking CCP representative to arbitrate.
