at what point , if any, do concord / police get involved after killing convoys? I presume they will if your standing gets low enough, but when is that?

Whatever faction sent the convoy will react when they see you if you lower your standings to a "hostile" point. They won't come hunting you though. "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |

Edited by: Valan on 10/05/2005 22:48:30 -5 and faction sentry guns start firing, well they did anyway. As far as convoys go I checked them a couple of weeks after Shiva was loaded and they're empty.

Edited by: Jubba theMad on 10/05/2005 22:51:04 Concorde will only waste you if its a concorde convoy (and then they really will waste you, or used to anyway). All the other faction ships will attack after you kill enough convoys of the right type, i.e. kill a load of Gallente navy convoys, and eventually you will be KOS navy ships. Not sure when that happens... -5.0?
ya, still empty a couple days ago... ------------------------------------------------

I was unfortunate enough to lower my Intaki standing to less than -5. Our 0.0 base at the time happened to be Intaki. As if there aren't enough people shooting at you in 0.0! The Intaki station in DP34 greeted me with a hail of fire from its sentry guns.

150km + safety range I believe, for the III guns anyway, the Is and IIs have less range.

Convoys doesnt give u sec hits. They give faction hits. Stay 160km away from sentrys, and only kill the one inbound to station, and absolutely nothing will happen..... ---------------------------------------------- Trishys cookies they are !

i used to regularly kill convoys, at any distance from sentries and stations. all you do is set the station corp to +10, and if the convoy isnt blue then u can blast away with NO problems. the npc's fighting back however is a different story. if you show info on "Spinal"(the character) u will see he wouldnt be allowed in most space if it was -5 (from wat i can remember(at college)).

only just noticed they are now empty, kinda lame. Why leave them in the game if they are empty

maybe there is a loot drop every 10th kill or something. Sometimes they are on a retrun trip from dumping their load, so, i guess you have to follow them around.

I believe the official word is that the loot tables were imbalanced, so they simply pulled the loot tables.

I don't get it.
If they don't drop anything, what's the point? |

You can cargo scan NPCs to see what they will drop when killed, same with convoys.

The convoys stopped dropping loot some time around exodus. (aparently they were dropping loot that was supposed to be deadspace loot only) Why fixing such a problem has been taking so long is well beyong my comprehension. I could understand ignoring it while fixing the more important bugs that arise as a result of a content patch,, but thoes have been taken care of for quite some time now. I have made various (allthough weak) attempts to gather more information on this for convoy raids used to be a big part of my gameplay. I have now turned to the forums to request info from those who have it. What is the status of returning loot drops to the npc convoys? If there is no plan on doing this at all let us know. Every time I undock and watch my ship pass through an empty hauler I become upset. You have left these to tease us long enough, please cough up an explaination.
