I would like CCP to explain if this new agents retroactively capping your factions is the new and accepted behavior.
Note that if you get to a level 3 agent and he refers you to a new level 1 agent in another corp, your original agent factions will be knocked to 2.0 after one mission.
Please sign here and post elsewhere till we get a response. Three days is too long.
We understand that other issues may be involved and fixing this may not be possible right now, but we demand a statement of intent regarding whether this is the 'new system.' If it is not, a statement saying that they will fix after Papa gets back (August) or in an upcoming patch or in a hot fix.
In addition, whether or not it will be fixed, we require that CCP post a warning in the ingame/login News that ppl's factions will be screwed (you can use other words ;P)

useless till august well this game is goin to hell real fast,when a main game feature left mutilated by lack of content sits for months in retail,start the death watch.
this really is startin to look bleak foe eve,bungled patches,delays so far out they become meaningless,and counterproductive as they are needed to break up the boredom eve is starti to generate.
sorry to post so doom and gloom,but ive seen nothin of late that inspires me in anyway

I hate to speak in absolutes, but prior to the Patch Review section and the devs who post there (I only visit occaisionally as I have no inclination to beta test (officially that is) again and pay to play, if they 'ruin' it I am free to stop paying like I have done on 3 others MMORPGs) I have yet to see ANY responsible news/info sharing or posting by anyone in CCP except Papa Smurf.
Hell they don't even have a "Sanya" in this company. I thought Pann was, but I rarely see her posts (of course she may post in some sections alot, but not general or missions for sure)

While overall I agree with you... I laugh at your comment about Sanya.

All Sanya does is start 2-3 threads after each DAoC patch on IGN boards and then subsequently ignore them. Good luck EVER finding a response from any of Mythic's faceless and nameless devs!
It does seem like the Market/Skills/Missions/etc. sections of the forum are under-checked by the devs. Pann seems to be most likely found in general discussion, Papa in this forum, and Hillmar and Lickspittle in Patch Review.

Perhaps...I should have made it clear it was a measure of 'disgust' lol not EVEN a 'Sanya' ;P
But ya, I suspected Pann posts more on reg discussions, but while it is one of the 3 I check, I don't read most of the reg *****ing (ya, I am *****ing here - but its a bug, not just how >I< think it should be ;P) and only read topics that promise or hint at value (of which there are several often) but havent read a Pann response yet on them in long time.)

So that's why my Concord and faction ratings went down from 7.5 and 10.0 to 2.0 - thought they capped it in course of the patch :/

i got a reply from my petition about this, they said they would hopefully be fixing it in the last patch, but i guess they didnt :(, oh well maybe at the next one.. :)

Papa Smurf, the lead Dev on this area is away on holiday, perhaps when he gets back he will offer an explanation.
Chill out, the faction scores make no difference at the moment unless you are trying ot bump up your faction to go convoy hunting.

I have +10 Gallente faction and don't want to lose it for nothing.
If I lose that faction, I want it to be from a convoy hit.
Also, some agents reset security status too. Which means that it puts you that closer to going negative due to an accident.

i have posted about this in other places about the loss of points. i have another question for all who are affected. Did your pirate factions take a decrease also? mine are still at -10.00. kind of funny to me that all worthwhile standings were cut and not pirates.(atleast for me)

OK... and in 12 months when EVE has ad fantastic improvements (not being sarcastic - I think we are in growing pains) my factions will be oooo... what?... 2 points higher (GENEROUS)? Ever notice the speed of the increases due to killing stuff on Sec ration and factions? It crawls.
I know why they did it - I don't know WHY they didn't THINK about it and lowered the gain (not make it a "joke") and INCREASED the LOSSES DRAMATICALLY of DESTROYING a ship (ie: the just shoot at one stays whateverit is, like -0.1 - ppl do have accidents with stupid smart missles and pulsing when they didn't see some guy warp in behind them or a wrong F-function press... as it is now, those mistakes cost you the entire time you spent raising it if you started post nerf)
