I have no need for this BPO anymore, and with the changes to HAMs in Retribution I have decided to sell it to someone who will make better use of it.

I saw this thread and decided to make an offer on the BPO lower than the 30 Billion contract fee. This is the EVE mail I got in response. I highly recommend anyone who gets offers from MT to not sell for exactly this reasons put in the mail.

thanks saves me doing my own post in this thread. I cant see why people are getting bitter that I beat their offers. A few auctions that I bid on, I lost fair and square and graciously bowed out. If people dont want to sell to me then thats fine, they will miss out on the higher offers that I offer over the people crying in this thread, either that, or I will just use an alt.
Its the same as say buying up all the ravens in jita and relisting them at a marked up price ( now thats a good money spinner )
I will also be offloading a huge collection of bpo's soon, so keep an eye out for that, I promise you no tears when I sell them to you, and then you sell them on =) |

Maybe you should consider offering bids that aren't laughably low if you have plans on actually winning?
Also, who are any of you to tell trader mistress what he should and shouldn't do with his isk and bpo sellers who they should and shouldn't sell to?

Sorry apparently you missed the part that this was a one week auction ending on the 15th, seller got excited and shot his load to an EVE mail instead of trying to get a bidding war going. If you read his post, which I'm sure you didn't it says reason offer of 9 Billion or more, I guess as an opener you would just offer 15 Billion cause well you like to roll like that. Trade Mistress is well documented now as someone who is only buying to put on contracts at way over priced contracts. This works in two ways it one takes the T2 BPO out of circulation, and two prevents any real offers from true manufactures from being heard. This in turn means product will need to come from other T2 BPO holders or invention meaning less on market and higher prices. Hope you enjoy someone with big alliance backing screwing you in to paying more for your ships, mods, and ammo. I'm comfortable either way.

So basically, you offer the bare minimum he's willing to take, then gets upset when the BARE MINIMUM isn't enough.
The bpo isn't taken out of circulation, in fact it's literally being put immediately back into circulation.
"Real offers from true manufactures" I'm sorry that your manufacturing empire isn't on par with manufacturers that have the capital to pay these heightened prices, but that's not a problem that should be directed at others but rather an introspective one; as it's a problem of your shortcomings when competing against other producers.
Less product meaning higher prices. Wait, you're a producer and don't want larger profit on your products?

Half the point of a buy out is to end the auction early.
I knew that offers would start in the 5-6B range, and I wasn't willing to sell for less than I bought it for, which was 8.5B. I also knew that I would be hard pressed to get an offer over that mark since the last time it was auctioned it went for about 6B.
Also, the tears in this thread are hilarious. If you wanted the BPO, you had to outbid the other offers, and since the only offers were hilariously low, I took the 11B knowing that I would be lucky to get that.
Please, keep those tears flowing, this is hilarious. |
