Slang for umbrella.
Couldn't think of anything and a friend came over, when going home he took his umbrella and I thought of how I hadn't seen anyone use one for quite some while.

Edited by: Sforza on 12/05/2005 13:16:04 I've used this name for online games for about 12 years now.
Ludovico Sforza was a duke of Milan who was famous for his patronage of Leonardo da Vinci, who I've always had a fascination with. It's a one stepped removed name as I didnt want to sound like a piggin' turtle.
PS: Im not italian! Sforza

Yanclo : (my other Account) is a phonetic way to write Jean-Claude in Spanish
Pampita : (my alt) Is an Argentinian model Check her out!

Grosvenor Corama

Search results for: Grosvenor A great hunter or the grand huntsman, from the French Gros veneur. The ancestor of the family assumed the name from holding the office of grand huntsman to the Dukes of Normandy.
Corama is elvish, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it's supposed to mean again. It was nice though. Edit: I found it again, Corama means Legendary Strider.

Back in the days of ANSI BBS:es, StingNet (compuserve based thingie I think, was like a forum with chat and files if my memory serves me right), people were using nicknames. "Cyber" was a very popular word, and people named themselves CyberDude, CyberBen and similar.
At the time, a fairly popular game was Mortal Kombat (which I've played approx. 3 times). One of the characters in that game was Scorpion, and I liked the sound of that name.
Cyber + Scorpion = CyberScorp!
I used that nickname until it started to sound silly (which didn't take long), and then I changed it to Scorpyn.
I've used it since.

Johnny Atlas

Johnny was just random first name, alts have other first names.
Atlas - Greek god that carried the world on his shoulders. Greek god of immense strength (dont see how that fits ). Usual name for a collection of maps.
Back in my first MMO (Earth & Beyond), I was amazed at how big that game was, and I was always after more maps to use. I became known amongst friends as the person who knew where everything was (still in Beta at this stage).
In Eve, I gave up trying to get maps as it was just soooo huge. I still like to know where I am and whats around though. |

I first got mine from my favorite car in Twisted Metal 1. I used this name for a while. While playing mechwarrior 2 I was "knighted" in my clan and became Sir-Spectre, and it stuck. SirSpectre is the name i use for most every online name.

Originally by: TIO 101 i use TiO in other games, originally it came from an old name i used, Acerontious Stix, peeps shortened that to Ace, but i was moving into new games and Ace wasn't apropriate if i was going to suck at it so, i took part of my old nick tio, n came up with something for it.
TIO 101 - The Invisible One, one 'oh' one,
woulda just had TIO but someone allready had that back in beta :/ so just added the one 'oh' one. just kept it when i switched to retail.
You used ACE for ages even when you did suck at games, it never stopped you then, why should it have now?
Can't remember where mine came from, but I keep hoping for some kind of name changing option like for portaits :D
(nice to see your webby is finally more than a jpg too, hehe:)

DaHeaVYFo - 8 Character DOS-style name for The HeaVY FooT (dutch expression meaning He who drives really fast) I became a paramedic for my growing need for speed.
First online game i played was Soldier of Fortune I, wich only allowed 8 characters, hence my name.

I just tried to make up something that I felt sounded "Caldari" - Istvaan is Hungarian for Steve or something, and Shogaatsu sounded like the right mix of Finnish and Japanese to fit the Caldari atmosphere.

Zhuge Liang

Zhuge Liang (kongming), one of the greatest chinese strategists of all time. Lived during the three kingdoms period in ancient china and served Liu Bei's (Xuande) Shu dynasty, as they struggled to fight Cao Cao's Wei Dynasty and Sun Jian (Later his son Sun Quan's) Wu Dynasty.
I've read the 'Romance of the three kingdoms' novel and played all the dynasty PS2 games of it by koei. Like many others thought it would be a very original name. People tend to read the name as Z-HUGE LIANG, which is wrong and very naughty. The english is said like this zhuuu-ghey-lee-ang.

If you translate the same term from swedish it'd be LeadFoot. I suppose that's a somewhat useful name aswell...
