I'm an old vet, played the game from release to about 1 year go. To make a long story short I have some free time on my hands and decided to start eve again. I created a new character and recently picked up a Catalyst. I was wondering what some decent pvp and rat hunting set ups were. Thanks in advance. |

lol i hate those ships but thats what i used and it worked quite well

i use:
8x T2 75mm's
1x tracking comp 2
10mn Y-T8 AB
2x mag stab 2's
1 PDU 2
the tracking is incredible on these guns, with level 4 desty's and level 5 motion prediction you were very rarly miss at all at ranges anywhere from 10km to pointblank. with the AB, i can reach speads of 1000m/s+. usually the web isnt needed when your fighting inty's, they usually die before even thinking about warping anywhere

The Tech2 guns ofc will work better, but will also be more expensive. Your 1,5mil ship will make you loose 8mil instead. Imo thats waste of money, because destroyers go down as quickly as they pop other frigs.
What your mission? Destroy enemy frigs. You arent there to tackle any bigger ships nor are you there to chase enemy frigs.
You are an escort for bigger ships or you patrol some systems and kill any frig you encounter.

Thanks for the info guys, I think I will be using 8x 125s. One other question, do blasters work well on the Catalyst? |
