Anyone losing a life is a sad affair. And nobody cares about the 16 thousand children that die of malnutrition daily in Africa. So why should i care about the death of someone famous is beyond me.
Do i feel for his deat? Of course i do.. for his families and friends. Just as i feel about those children's family and friends. And that is as far as i go. My life moves on.
No "Special Steve Jobs Documentary" or "Steve Jobs Memorial Day" or "getting donations for Steve Jobs family" or even doing something out of my own daily routine in dedication of Steve Jobs. He is no more or less important than anyone else so my caring is exactly the same. And it irks me when media try to force me the idea that i should feel any different.
The hipocrisy and sheer ignorance makes me sick to my stomach. Sometimes the only difference between a budding genius and a blooming idiot is where they chose to take a stand. |

Started back in...oh, I think it was 1976. Made a little thing called the Macintosh. Helped pretty much set the benchmark for personal computing, alongside Microsoft.
wow.. let try fact for a change.
Apple was established on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne to sell the Apple I personal computer kit. that was hand built by Steve Wozniak.
Without Steve Wozniak there would be no apple.
You could also argue if it wasn't for Jonathan Ive then you would not have iMac, iPod and iPhone and the modern day Apple we all love to hate now, as he is the man designed and created all 3.
So yes whilst Steve Jobs had a major part to play, he was not the be all and end all.

However I still have no respect for Apple. American technology thats developed in Korea, made in Thailand, and support is in India. Yet people wonder why the economy has gone to hell.
How is it American when if its developed in Korea? Other then that, I do'nt really care about Steve Jobs as a personality, I won't miss him. As a human being though its never good if a man of women dies sooner rather than later, he had a good fight though and went out swining, I don't thing you can ask for more.

Edison was not a good scientist, all he did was copy Tesla.
So good comparison.
Actually Jobs was like a dictator in his company.

True, its just that Edison "invented" electric light and other useful stuff. Apple just sells electric garbage no one really needs.

Who Invented the Lightbulb?
It was Thomas Edison in 1879, wasn't it? That's what many people think and were taught in school. Like most stories, however, there is a lot more behind the creation of this important and ubiquitous object than just Mr. Edison..
The story of the lightbulb really starts almost seventy years earlier. In 1806 Humphrey Davy, an Englishman, demonstrated a powerful electric lamp to the Royal Society. Davy's lamp produced its illumination by creating a blinding electric spark between two charcoal rods. This device, known as an "arc lamp," was impractical for most uses. The light, similar to that of a welding torch, was simply too bright to be used in residences and most businesses. The device also needed a tremendous source of power and the batteries which powered Davy's demonstration model were quickly drained. |

I highlighted "invented" because i meant he stole it from someone, just like Steve Jobs stole the MP3 player from another company i can't reacall, i think it was "Creative", and made it more accesable to everyone. -Nostalgia is not as good as it used to be- |

Yes it was Creative, and the iPod and going "consumer" products is what SAVED AAPL.
What nearly killed APPL was going PC Clone under that Pepsi guy.
All AAPL do is put a nice picture on it, and yes it's nice then charge you an arm and a leg for it.
PS: I would go short on AAPL over the rest of this week, probably go short pre market lol. |

Thats the point. Apple is a American based company(HQ is in Cali) that toted around as one. Yet all their development, production, and tech support is out sourced in other countries. Ofc this is nothing new anymore and almost all companies do it, yet people are still confused on why the US economy is ****.
