Helena, you're a noob then, if that is what you can remember.
Can you remember the days when there is no battleships at all in the game?
When there is not even Concord?
When you can kill people even in a 0.9 system?
When sentry guns don't exist even in empire space?
When there are black holes in the game?
When there is omber in a 1.0 system?
When there is no Heavy Drones in the game?
When there is only one size of MWD and Afterburners for every ship size?
When there is no MWDs in the game at all?
When you can buy a Standard Mining Drone in the market?
When everyone flew nothing but frigates?
When Punishers could fire missiles?
When NPCs actually drop every weapon type instead of being regionalized?
When there is no stacking penalty on weapons mods?
The highest NPC bounty you can kill in 0.0 space was 5K?
When you warp in only at 8km from the gate instead of 20km?

oh the memories (and nightmares)
you left out a few important ones here:
- The Zezman manouver
- Hiding behind asteroids to avoid missiles hitting you
- Qannas and his book
- Giant asteroids bouncing you out of systems (fight on my brothers)
- A tech 1 market
- Blueprint copies being unlimited
- renting offices and labs as you needed them
- flying from pator to amarr being a dangerous and long trip
- using my 'missile shield' bestower to pick up loot from npc's that my friends were chainspawning in mallers.
- damage mod and surgical strike stacking
- loot can lag
so many many more...

There was no highways, and going from pator to amarr can amount to over 30 jumps.
Having a lot of drones can lag alot. This is the reason why the models for the Infiltrator drones were changed from something with four tentacles to something identical to the Hammerheads.
It was cool to be seen in a Merlin or Tristan then.
Zyd was under 1k and Mega was around 2.5k. Several months later they went up 10X over that price.

Where a single cruiser could change the tide in a battle.
Where only a few could fly an indi.
When there were 0.0 systems with high end roids inside empire.
When u could gank anyone without worrie about Concord or sentries.
When people hunted NPC cargo convoys in frigates.
When people camped the jumpin out point and filled it up with mines and cargo containers for lag.
When M0o first used the stackable Dmg Mods on Amarr cruisers to camp Mara.
When Ninja Mining was invented.
When missiles didn't work properly.
When Simon and Schutler (prolly badly writen) had rights upon EVE.
Where if you could use a MWD it was an true achievement.
When Pan was the Community Manager (now its Kieron)
When a CU Bore Minner was worth alot.
When people mined in Bantams.
When NPC bought all minerals from players at NPC price.
When you would have a -10 security rating and after a few hours hunting NPCs you would be "forgiven" and returned to positive security rating.
When Tank CEO was INFACT a CEO
NO IJBMs, Highways or Autopilot or functional map.
Those were happy days...

I also remember dropping my chin and drooling like a dane when I stumbled over the first incarnation of the Eve website. That was back in the days when HG shared his tight EC stories on the forums and when Rinny Wee was still posting regularly 'round here.
We also thought we were going to get to build stations at launch bwahahahhahahhh
Geeez... this game has been with me for more than 3 and a half years now

I started playing back when everybody was using lasers and the asset window bug wasn't resolved yet. Back when you got podkilled automatically by stray cruise missiles. When blackbirds didn't take a decade to align for warp, and when battleships could lock fast without sensor boosters.

How about these few?
When a Rifter, as standard, went over 500m/s
When a 10au journey between gates in an industrial took about 4 warps after the first used all of your capacitor.
When the cap usage on all ships for warping was ridiculously high.
When the game went retail and not a single person could train a skill for the whole day. (I wonder how many cancelled that first day because of that)
When the only learning skill was, well, learning.
When I was rich from making and selling the Probe, Rifter, Mammoth, Miner 1s and Basic Cargo Expanders in Ammold :D

Missiles were really big (5m3 Cruise, 10m3 Torps)
BPs of missiles made ONE at a time
The minerals needed to make them, made a Torp cost a couple hundred thousand
