Will I/we ever get out bookmarks back?
I spent scores of hours looking for stuff and bookmarking it and was making frequent, active use of those bookmarks. Since the patch ate 90% of my bookmarks I've not only been ****ed off beyond belief, but when I DO muster the motivation to play I am hindered by the need to re-do all that survey work...If I redo all the survey work and rebuild my bookmarks will I wak up the next day to fine all my OLD bookmarks returned?
Have I already wasted my time, or am I NOW wasting my time?

this is belated work around. make folders. it seems that only 1 bookmark per system is allowed. so to have more bookmarks per system you need to create a folder, and place that new(sad isn't it) bookmark there.
I know is bad. I have lost locations of some very expensive items. and am hoping that some of others in my corp didn't loose that bookmark.
I am sure they will limit the amount of folders or someting in future to nerf us again...

Well, I already had all of my bookmarks in folders, but post-patch the 'Places' tab just refuses to load, period. I've tried clearing the cache (repeatedly), still no luck. I wouldn't care if all the bookmarks I had were gone (they weren't that extensive and I've moved to a new location anyway), I'd just like to be able to use this function again. As it is, I have NO ability to use bookmarks whatsoever.

Theres only one way round this - wrtie down the locations of important stuff. Luckily during my explorations Ive kept a written record so have everything I found. Only the harder to find stuff is a pain to get back to - but to be honest ive found that the really hard to find stuff is usually the worst :)

You are correct about the chimpanzee remark.. though I've had a post deleted because of a similar statement.. ok.. my post was a tad more than a statement, but still :P
I am still holding out hope that CCP hasn't made the asinine decision to limit bookmarks to one per system. They HAVE to realize that such a decision is the incorrect one.. I'm hoping.. though they have successfully trashed my hopes before..
Devs, if you HAVE made that decision, and if it is performance based, that is.. if the bookmark tables were getting too full in the server.. then PLEASE just make them client-side instead of server side. Just whatever you do, don't store them in the prefs.ini, since we have to practically delete that file every few weeks to fix some problem or another.. just make a file like "playername".book or somethin.. *shrug*
If on the other hand, you made the change to keep people from making insta-dock/insta-jump bookies and the like, then SHAME ON YOU.. you should just delete the bookmark feature if you don't want us to use them.

Never mind getting old ones back. I wouldn't mind being able to delete ones that I don't need any more.

Dug this puppy off page 4 just as it was about to hit page 5.
It's past Tuesday so thats answered. Now does anyone know if Wednesday is the day or is that next Tuesday, Wednesday etc etc etc.
Still never did find Pann's post btw.
