If you've ever lost an indy to the suicide squads in .5+ you'll know what I'm talking about. They usually scan cargo then destroy you so chances are if you've gotten blown up before the price for one of these would by far make up for it.
I like it for the peace of mind knowing I can go autopilot afk and not worry since concord kills them before they can web you long enough to get thru your sheilds. My Occator can afk at 400+m/s with overdrives without using an ab with my skills too.

Depends what I have to haul its mainly for trade routes and knowing I only need to carry a certain amount of stuff like high end mins like morphite. I'm not talking hauling from a belt I was just noting they are not as slow as people may say they are. So yeah to make lots of mils while making supper I might use overdrives.

Well the speed advantage is minimal in time to destination, besides, its nice to always have a decent hauling configuration.
The only time I take my nanofibers out is when I need to super expand to get all the load in one trip.
Not to mention there is always that one time you need to warp out fast, and you simply wont with overdrives.
I spose it matters more when you fly through dangerous space.

Players shouldn't be making up reasons to exonerate the stupid implementation of whats supposed to be a deep space industrial.
Sorry, but being able to protect oneself from suicide squads alone (which you'll probably ever encounter 1-2 times in your 2 years of playing EVE), does not make these ships any more useful. _______________________________________________

To quote my former self: A Tool is only useless if you dont know how to use it.
Same thing could be said about a Fool, but that is another...forum.

People aren't gonna waste sec status on a char they spent a week or two training to get crap loot, so yeah most likely most people wont ever have it happen, but most people dont travel with 2000 m3 of zyd and mega either.

Just be careful, the mains on two of my other accounts were hauling some mins for sale. So I had them both on AP an Itereon V, and Mammoth. I then went outside for an hour or so (OMG the LIGHT it burns us). I came back to my machine in total horror as I see one pod sitting on the screen at its destination. OMFG who killed me?!?!?. I frantically went through EveMail and low and behold it was Guristas. ....
The GATE rats! I Alt tabbed to my other character that still had its ship, and dumped the cargo and flew back ASAP. Low and behold, there were my 6 Giant Secures, and jet can. Inside the Jet can I still had 3 of my Local expanders, and none of my cans were touched. Ppl just flying by. LOL (My Thanks)
Anyways, the moral of the story is if you are APing two haulers, make sure you let one go on ahead, because I figured out what happened many days later while watching. My haulers got too close and stopped each other while approaching the gate. This allowed the Gate rats to take there time popping me nights before.
