Been listning to the song "Du Hast".. and im trying to find a good translation of that song. Some translate "du hast" = you hate.. I thought it meant; you have.
Anyway, could someone please translate it for me?

Actually Rammstein has released an english version of "Du hast".
Basicly its

The lyrics of the english version don't really reflect the original german version.. and in german you say "Du hast" and it means "You have", if you write "Du hasst" (from "hassen") it means "You hate". And in the context of the song it really means "you have", but the song is made clever, so it sounds like "You hate" and a bit more aggressive.
The lyrics mean:
You have
You have asked me
You have asked me and I've said nothing (probably meaning the proposal for marriage)
and the ref is the usual priest thingy where he asks the couple if they want to be bonded forever..
"Do you want to stay with her till death seperates you blablabla?"
And he sings "Nein!" which you probably figured out yet means No!.
So you see, "You hate" makes absolutely no sense in the context...

thus, it could be translated as either have or hate.... I.m not a native german speaker, but this is how its been explained to me.

check rammstein fan site they usually have lyrics in both german and english. Havent checked if "Du Hast" is there, but it should be.
