The Caldari known as Witch Doctor surveyed the latest corporate patrol logs for Freelance Unincorporated, the renowned corporation of Ushra'Khan, called terrorists of Amarr by some, liberators of the Matari people by others. As usual, FU2 and its allies had done their usual effective job during peak traffic hours, but their numbers during the night shift had dwindled. Ship numbers were nearing numbers that would leave their patrols ineffective, while the enemy's numbers increased.
Witch Doctor punched the comm and hailed Maggot, leader of FU2.
"Maggot, sir."
"Witch, knock it off."
"Right. We need some more pilots for our night shift patrols. Can you work your recruiting magic?"
Maggot paused and smiled. "Witch, you know I don't fly the night shift, but you do. Why don't you recruit on the GalNet?"
Witch Doctor raised an eyebrow. "Me? I don't have near your charm, or your ... baldness. Besides, that would take me away from hunting slavers."
Maggot smiled. "I'm sure you will find a way to win the hearts of a few pilots willing to fight for our cause."
Witch Doctor frowned and twirled the firing key to his railgun batteries in his fingers. "I'm not accustomed to words."
Witch Doctor undocked for yet another late night patrol in his Eagle. His advanced 250 rails yearned to catch an unaware Malediction once again. His patrol was to take him through Ashab into the heart of Amarr itself. He smiled, wondering if yet another foolish and arrogant Amarrian would dare fly a Bestower straight through the capital system.
As he jumped into the system, once again the cold *****le of anticipation crept up his spine. Would there be an ambush waiting on the other side of the gate? As he cleared the gate, the coast was clear. He checked the local Concord pilot roster - well well well, none other than Ethidium Bromide, famous torturer of Minmatar slaves. His insidious experiments defied all respect for human life.
On a chance, Witch Doctor warped to the Amarr gate at 80km. Sure enough, Ethidium's interceptor crept lazily toward the gate. With his sensor boosters activated, completing the lock took mere seconds. He opened fire with his battery of railguns, severely depleting the shields. Could he finish off the ship before he jumped? Sensors detected the activation of a microwarpdrive.
Witch Doctor practically willed his batteries to recharge. Another salvo dropped the ship well into structure. Alas, the fast Amarrian ship aligned within the gate and jumped through.
Witch Doctor pounded the console and cursed an ancient Deteis curse. As he prepared to accelerate toward the gate, an alert came in on the alliance channel.
"Alert - all Ushra'Khan pilots. A fleet of 5 CVA vessels is arrayed about the Ashab gate in Amarr. Proceed with caution."
Time to relocate. Witch Doctor set coordinates for the Tanoo warp gate and prepared to return to Minmatar space. As he came out of warp, he noticed the CVA pilots joining the local roster. Sure enough, another gate trap. Thanks to the skill of his astrogation, Witch Doctor came out of warp literally on top of the gate. A quick alignment, and he was through. Perhaps next time.
Freelance Unincorporated is seeking valiant pilots of all races who abhor the Amarrian slavery policy and seek freedom for the Minmatar. We are particularly interested in pilots for our night shift (US hours). As any one will tell you, we have a fine bunch of lads without any of the undesirables you may find in this game. As you can see, we are involved in the RP war between Ushra'Khan and the CVA. We are looking for pilots who will fight fair and fight often with OOC sportsmanship and a flair for RP.

Having flown with Freelance, I was most impressed. Can't go wrong with these guys.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

We are still looking for some willing pilots for the zombie shift. Become a pilot with a sense of purpose - fight for freedom from oppression, and have a damn good time doing it.
