Just a quick noobie question. :)
I have earned enough ISK to purchase another ship. However I have looked at the market and this is not avaliable in my station. I can only see it when I chnage the filter to region. If I buy the ship in a different system (5 jumps, etc) how do I get it back to the station I condier home?

You buy the ship - you have to go and collect it and fly it back yourself.
Shuttles are wonderful for that.. -----

Vel Kyri,
Thanks. So I would purchase a shuttle to go and collect my ship in. Then either leave the shuttle docked at that station or sell it when I got there.

And leave it to the station, you never know if ya need to jump to a shuttle from that station some time..

If the new ship you are buying is a cargo hauling type (industrial) you could also repackage the shuttle, toss it into the cargo hold, and take it back with you.

Your right the new ship is a cargo ship. But what does repackage do?

Puts it back in the nice, shiny box it came in so you can give it to someone else as a gift
On a more serious note, I've never checked the size of a repackaged shuttle - are they big?

That raises another fine question. My borther just started playing and I was going to give me a ship to help him along his chosen path. After I repackage it, how do I actually donate it to him?

Shuttles are 5k m3 in size. If you want to trade just find his name under the guest tab while in station, right click and trade. Drag and drop the ship into the trade window and click accept.

You could also use "Escrow" tab located in "Missions" icon in your station services (righ hand side of screen), while docked in a station.
You choose the station where your items or ships are from a drop down window. Then opens all the items and ships from that station on your left. You highlight what you want to give to someone or sale to someone else.
Next, in the escrow section you can enter description of item or ship, how many days to keep escrow up, and even restrict it to a certain person (like your brother) and only that person could claim the escrow. There is a fee associated with an escrow, but it is nominal --------------------------------------------------- (\_/) Is this bunny or Picachu? Alternatively, you could melt the shuttle down, and take home the minerals instead. I am not sure if you make your ISK back or not if you do this... --------------------------- |
